Wow! Should Tiger Woods help?

Tiger Woods believes the decision to allow women to join Augusta National Golf Club should be left to the membership.

Should Woods use his fame to force Augusta into change?

An editorial in Monday's New York Times suggested Woods should boycott the 2003 US Masters in protest at the club's continuing refusal to admit female members.

The paper suggested that if the Masters took place without the world number one in attendance, it would force the club into reconsidering its stance.

Augusta National chairman Hootie Johnson is adamant that a woman will not be among the 300 members at Augusta by the start of the Masters in April.

Should Woods use his influence and take a tougher stance? And should he even boycott the Masters?

I agree - I don't see why Tiger has to be dragged into it, when he has nothing to do with it... up to the club really.

asking tiger to sacrifice his career dreams for someone else's cause is laziness... they cant muster up enough support on their own, so they're trying to draw tiger to fight their fight for him...

why stop there? maybe tiger should boycott eating food, because somewhere someone is hungry... maybe tiger should boycott drinking water because in walkerton, ontario, their water was contaminated....

personally, if they dont want women to golf there, then women cant golf there... you dont see me trying to get into a women's only fitness gym..

if you want to blame someone, blame the pga tour for keeping it as a major event...

The only thing I disagree with Tiger is that he made it a point of his image with the Nike commerical that he can't play on some golf courses because the color of his skin. So its kind of hypocritical to have a "Switzerland" opinion on it. He and the rest of the PGA tour players should all boycott, then we would have change.
