Should McCarthy go? | | Mick McCarthy is to step down as manager of the Republic of Ireland, according to reports.
Would you be glad to see him go?
Mick McCarthy will meet FAI chiefs this week to discuss his impending resignation, according to Ireland's Sunday Independent paper.
The dust has never fully settled after the World Cup row with captain Roy Keane, which resulted in the player being sent home.
And the surprise home defeat to Switzerland in a Euro 2004 qualifier last month increased the pressure on McCarthy to step down.
McCarthy's resignation could see him return to club management - and the FAI may waive their right to compensation to ease his departure.
Should McCarthy go? And who could replace him?
From a personal point of view, I hate him and want him out, He is a disgrace, he plays players that are not even up to the standard of premiership clubs and he plays the wrong system like Gary Doherty plays as as defender for Spurs and he is good at that position, Mick plays him as a striker?? Get out Mick now. |
