Lazio have announced that coach Giuseppe Papadopulo will leave the capital city club after negotiations for a contract extension began to fail.

Elsewhere on the Italian coaching front, Lecce have announced that manager Zdenek Zeman will not have his contract renewed when it expires at the end of June.

Empoli remained top of Serie B on Sunday and clinced promotion to Serie A after drawing 1-1 at home with Arezzo.

Andrea Coda put Empoli in front on 53 minutes giving the Tuscans a 1-0 lead, but Greek defender Giorgios Kyriazis leveled for Arezzo just nine minutes later.

Empoli were relegated from Serie A last season.

Cassano and Montella got good chances, but didn't score. The Brazilian striker on the other side, Adriano, showed how it should be done. I see Inter winning the Cup.

Today the 1st play-off match between Parma and Bologna is due to be played.
