I was under the impression that 4 teams are going down, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Now I'm confused too. Or does a team need to take part in play-offs, just like the #15 last year ...

A while ago you posted a link in a thread to a site which provides us information about which position makes sure you get European football in the different leagues around Europe. Isn't the amount of relegated teams in the Serie A posted there too? *shrug*

AC Milan will win 1-0 later on.

Credit to Atalanta! They're making a really good go of surviving. Thanks to this win they've moved onto 24 points - that's 6 points away from being safe. It was a good weekend for Siena and Chievo too. Atm I see 6 teams in definite relegation trouble, but others could yet be dragged into it.

15. Fiorentina. 31.
16. Chievo. 31.
17. Parma. 30.
18. Siena. 29.
19. Brescia. 26.
20. Atalanta. 24.

9 matches remain for all 6 teams.

I would say lets flip a coin to decide that.. but then we'd be here talking about this for ages!

I saw the Serie A table on Sky Sports News earlier. They had a divide between 17th and 18th, so it must be just 3 going down this season. I was sure I read somwehere online that 4 would be relegated though.. It wasn't on that site I linked though - that's just for the CL, UEFA Cup, Intertoto Cup and all things related to those competitions.

LOL, let's move on then ...

Go Atalanta! I honestly didn't expect them to do this well anymore, but they still have a chance of surviving. I do have to look at the teams they still have to play. Tough ones or will they play more relegation matches?

If you read it again somewhere, let me know. I'm still not 100% sure I'm right.

Lets analyse!

03/04 - Chievo (h)
10/04 - Brescia (a)
17/04 - Reggina (a)
24/04 - Palermo (h)
01/05 - Udinese (a)
08/05 - Messina (h)
15/05 - Fiorentina (a)
22/05 - Roma (h)
29/05 - Siena (a)

So, they play 4 out of the 5 teams directly above them, but 3 of those will be away fixtures. The other 3 home fixtures are going to be tricky, but I fancy them to get something out of it - maybe a win against Roma. Reggina and Udinese away will probably be defeats though. I think Atalanta can still do it.

It isn't the most toughest schedule ... I also give them a chance. The upcoming two matches are crucial.

Latest Score
AS Roma 0-0 AC Milan

The first half is completed.
