Saturday 18th December
Juventus .v. AC Milan <----
Messina .v. Atalanta

The perfect chance for Milan to close the gap to Juventus down to just a point before Christmas. I'm hoping for a high scoring, thrilling tie .. not 0-0!
Messina should beat Atalanta.

Sunday 19th December
Bologna .v. Reggina
Fiorentina .v. Chievo
Inter Milan .v. Brescia
Lecce .v. Sampdoria
Palermo .v. Cagliari - 7th .v. 4th
Roma .v. Parma - Clash of the 2004 underachievers!
Siena .v. Livorno
Udinese .v. Lazio - If Udinese win, and the top 2 draw, they'll close down the gap to both!

The midtable of Serie A is still close.

4. Cagliari. 22.
....................
16. Brescia. 17.

Bologna, Parma and Siena have become seperated from the pack - with Atalanta still adrift at the bottom.

It was abandoned after 23 mins due to a waterlogged pitch!

Ahh, should have guessed. You'd expect that type of think to happen in the English and Scottish leagues, but maybe not in the Italian. I hope no more games have to be abandonded over the weekend.

I would never think of waterlogged pitches happening in Italy, something I would expect in the lower leagues in England and definately Scotland, I expect some frozen pitches occurring in England over the Christmas and New Year period!

Indeed! It wouldn't be Christmas without half the league matches in Scotland being called off. When I was up there at the beginning of February this year, more than half of the matches had been called of due to snow! hehe.

Surprise surprise .. Juventus 0-0 AC Milan.
I wonder if it was like the Milan derby - filled with chances but no goals due to good goalkeeping and bad misses. Or were the defenses on top of everything.
