This is what Adriano has to say:

Inter's otherworldly striker, Adriano, was delighted by the big victory over Messina on Saturday.

The Brazilian netted a first-half treble for inter, which was followed with goals by Sinisa Mihajlovic and Christian Vieri.

"I’m happy for the team and especially for Vieri’s goal. He has always worked hard and has never given up," said Adriano.

"I’m pleased with how the team is working and let’s hope we do well both in the Champions [League] on Tuesday and away to Siena in the league next Sunday...We know we can beat everyone if we want to, we have a great team and we showed this again today. We must believe in ourselves, we can do a lot more."

Sunday 5th December
Cagliari 4-2 Chievo
Fiorentina 1-0 Bologna
Juventus 2-1 Lazio
Lecce 3-2 Livorno
Palermo 1-0 Atalanta
Reggina 1-3 Brescia
Udinese 1-0 Siena

Inter Milan are back down to 6th. Wins for Cagliari (in a high scoring match!) and Palermo take the up to 4th and 5th respectively. Lecce and Fiorentina move up as well. Lecce are level on points with Inter, while Fiorentina trail both teams by a point.

At the bottom, Brescia made the most progress by moving up into 12th. Things still look bleak for the bottom 4 teams.

Saturday 11th December
Atalanta .v. Udinese
Lazio .v. Lecce

Sunday 12th December
AC Milan .v. Fiorentina
Bologna .v. Juventus
Brescia .v. Roma
Chievo .v. Palermo
Livorno .v. Parma
Reggina .v. Cagliari
Sampdoria .v. Messina
Siena .v. Inter Milan

Inter Milan should be able to win 2 games in a row. Any other result against 19th placed Siena would be poor. AC Milan and Juventus should also be able to win, but as for the rest - anything could happen!

Atalanta 0-1 Udinese

Udinese continue their fine form. They've closed the gap to AC Milan to just 3 points now. Atalanta remain rooted to the bottom though.

Sunday 12th December
AC Milan 6-0 Fiorentina
Brescia 0-1 Roma
Chievo 2-1 Palermo
Livorno 2-0 Parma
Reggina 3-2 Cagliari
Sampdoria 1-0 Messina
Siena 2-2 Inter Milan

Shevchenko and Seedorf scored a brace each in AC Milan's thrashing of Fiorentina! They're a point behind Juventus atm, with Juve playing at Bologna in just over an hour and a half.

Inter Milan - tsk tsk tsk. A draw again. This time they took the lead with an Adriano penalty, but that lasted all of 5 minutes. With 3 minutes to go, Tore Andre Flo made it 2-1 to Siena. Inter had to rely on Vieri to salvage a point from the game with his goal in injury time. 12 draws in 15 matches for Inter. Maybe they're trying to set a new league record!
