I think you can rest plyaers for National Cup matches so it isnt too bad but i think the amount of friendlies for International teams has to be cut, like the ones held last tuesday and Wednesday, no need for it.

Let's be honest, although they've scored 4 goals, Lecce was playing pretty bad if they gave away a 3-0 lead ...

I see. Yet another flaw of activescores.. they fail to indicate whether a Cup tie is one legged, or two legged.

I see some of the big teams actually take the Cup more seriously as well, or just have a big enough squad to deal with all these fixtures - as I would expect.

The first weekend of Serie A matches for 2 weeks and we have a massive clash between Inter and Juventus! Any bets on the match ending as a draw!? 1-1?

This could provide AC Milan with an opportunity to catch-up on Juventus, although their match this weekend isn't going to be easy either.

I think it's going to be an interesting weekend throughout the fixture list. So many teams are underachiving this season, with others rising to take their place. Will this continue, or will the likes of Roma, Parma and Lazio rise back into form?

Brescia midfielder Jonathan Bachini has been suspended for nine months following his positive test for cocaine, the Italian league's disciplinary council said Thursday.

The former Udinese, Parma and Juventus player was found to have traces of the recreational drug in a urine sample taken after Brescia's Serie A match at home to Lazio on September 22.

Bachini, who has made three Serie A appearances this season, was banned as a precautionary measure on October 13 and his ban will begin from that date.
