| Quote: Originally posted by BMB Lazio - Roma got halted at the beginning of the second half. The current score was 0-0.
During the halftime break it was announced in the stadium that, during pre-game riots, a young football fan was hit by a police car and died. The police immediately denied this report and forced the stadium announcer to announce this in the stadium.
AS Roma fans got fed up with what happened and in a reaction to the news, several supporters ran on the field, asking the players to end the match immediately. Everything resulted in chaos and a huge discussion between the ref, Totti and the pissed off fans at first and later between all the players, the ref and the club staff. Eventually the ref decided to end the game. The game will most likely be rescheduled to a new date, although it's not certain yet whether it will be rescheduled for the full 90 minutes or for just the second half.
Right after the match there were surprisingly no more disputes or riots between the two club clans, as both carried the same hatred towards the police. Let's hope the rest of the night won't bring new (deadly) incidents. To be continued ... | What I head that during half time and before the game, there were riots betwen Roma Ultras and the Lazio Irriducibili. During which a twelve year old was ran over and killed. During the second half, flares were thrown onto the pitch to try and stop the game as a result.
It took members of the Irriducibili to get onto the pitch to explain what happened but the pollice tried to deny it.
I'm telling you when Roma and Lazio meet, something always bad happens. And this is BAD. How there were no more riots afterwards I don't know. |

Yes there were riots before the game, just as I already told
Gert-Jan, yes one is for certain, the other three spots aren't decided yet |

| League leaders AC Milan will not be taking the challenge of Chievo lightly on Sunday as the European champions look to take another step closer to their first Serie A title since 1999.
Milan were irresistible on Tuesday when they defeated Deportivo La Coruna 4-1 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, and although the prospect of facing Chievo may seem dull by comparison Giuseppe Pancaro says there will be no let-up from the 'Rossoneri'.
"We are in form, the statistics show this, but you cannot ease up if you want success," said the 32 year-old defender, who has been outstanding at left-back since his summer transfer from Lazio.
"Any drop in our level of concentration would be disasterous, but that will not happen as the group know they have won nothing yet.
"This is the major strength of Milan, the great determination and concentration in which we approach every game.
"Sunday for example, we play Chievo, and a win is absolutely fundamental in the chase for the title.
"We know that there are enough games left for our rivals to catch us, so every game is a final from now until the end of the season."
Milan, looking for their 13th victory in 14 matches, are 10 points clear of second-placed Roma with eight games left. |

| Gameday 27 Results:
Siena - Udinese: 1-0
Juventus - Modena: 3-1
Sampdoria - Lecce: 2-2
Reggina - Inter: 0-2
Milan - Chievo: 2-2
Roma - Bologna: 1-2
Brescia - Ancona: 5-2
Parma - Empoli: 4-0
Perugia - Lazio: 1-2
Juventus is second again now. Trezeguet made his return, scored twice and Juve can win again!
Milan barely pulled off the draw with Shevchenko scoring the 2-2 in the 97th (!!) minute, his 20th of the competition this season. Milan can pretty much call themselves champion now, with 7 games left they hold a 9 point lead over Juventus.
Roma lost the title at home against Bologna.
The battle for the 4th place might be a battle till the end.
Lazio has 44 points, Parma also has 44 points and Inter has 43 points. Lazio has one game played less, namely last week's match against rival AS Roma, which got halted in the second half. Still not certain yet when the match will be re-played and if so, if for the full 90 minutes or not ... |
