Gameday 17 Results:

Reggina - Lecce: 1-3

Juventus - Siena: 4-2
No problems for Juventus, Del Piero scored three times (two penalties).

Inter - Empoli: 0-1
Inter was missing Vieri, Recoba, Materazzi, Cannavaro and Kily Gonzalez due to injuries. Inter was the best team and created most chances, with Empoli playing on the counter. Empoli keeper Bucci had a lot of work to do but it remained 0-0 till halftime. Inter started the second half again on the attack, in search of that first goal. Emre got booked with yellow for a foul and immediately received a second yellow card for protest. Down to 10 men for 30 minutes, Inter kept attacking and Empoli got a few times lucky while Bucci kept keeping great.
In extra time, Empoli executed a rare counter attack very well and stole the three points.

Bologna - Chievo: 3-1

Ancona - Perugia: 0-0

Roma - Sampdoria: 3-1
AS was down 0-1 after only 5 minutes, but a few minutes later they were already able to restore the balance as Carew scored. They slowly started to take over the game and in the second half Totti made it 3-1 with two goals.

Ancona who's struggling at the 18th spot with 7 goals in 17 matches, acquired Mario Jardel today on a loan base from Bolton for the rest of the season. Perhaps they'll be able to at least score a few more goals now.

Supporter pressure, yes.

Don't be confused, he resigned as president, but will remain as owner.

Stankovic's transfer to Inter is nearly settled and Adriano returned to Inter today from his two year loan contract.

Inter beat Udinese 3-1, to advance to the semi finals of the Italy Cup.

I knew he would still be the owner, Its easier that way, he can still make all the money and not take the hassle!

Yes and it leaves the club with no financial problems, as the capital remains intact.

We'll have to see.

If both are fit, Vieri and Adriano could form a very dangerous couple in front. With other strikers like Martins, Cruz and Recoba, the healthy competition will be very tight.
