Romanov was disappointed when Hearts lost a few matches in a row. I don't think it was a good idea to get rid of Burley after a not so good period. Always keep faith in your coach!

Hearts has money and that's an important thing these days to get results. But I don't know whether they can beat Rangers & Celtic. Glasgow Rangers & Le Guen is an interesting combinating to look at the upcoming season.

When I look at the fixtures for the 1st weekend, I'd say Sunday's match between Motherwell and Rangers could be nice. Hibernian vs Aberdeen gets the "match of the week"-title though.

Burley was doing everything great but alas he had an interfering owner who thought he knew it all.

Good news for Hearts!

Hearts have confirmed today that more than 20,000 tickets have been sold so far for Wednesday's crucial Champions League qualifier at Murrayfield against Siroki of Bosnia.

Romanov, Abramovich, Gaydamak, Gazprom (a company with billions and investing in Zenith-St. Petersburg). It doesn't seem to be a trend anymore, it's becoming regular/normal ...

The difference is Abramovich doesnt interfere. How many times last year did Romanov come out and say something.

I don't know, 'cause I couldn't keep up with it, that often!

Burley isn't Mourinho though and Hearts aren't Chelsea. I guess that would be Romanov's argument for spreading around his opinion so often? Or maybe it's just his character? I bet he always likes to have the last/highest word. We'll have to wait and see what Hearts are capable of doing this season.

I'm reeeeeaaally looking forward to a new Football season.

Just look at this quote:

Quote:
Hearts' majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov believes he waited too long to sack Graham Rix.
"I suggested we say goodbye to him as head coach earlier but the guys in the team insisted in letting him stay and I followed their wishes," he said.

"However, I feel I've made a mistake by not acting sooner as we lost 24 points in the league since he took charge.

"I didn't see any signs of the club going forward so we couldn't wait any longer before taking action."
and another lol

Quote:
Hearts owner Vladimir Romanov may sue new strip manufacturer hummel over the "poor" quality of this season's kit.
"I am glad to see so many fans wearing the shirts but the disappointment for me is that hummel have let us down," he told the Edinburgh Evening News.

"They have deceived us and we will be tearing up the contract with them as their quality is so poor and I may be forced to take them to court."

Maybe he should consider that all the talk about Hearts and all the controversy around his person makes the players' focus wondering off more to Romanov instead of the Football on the field. If you look at all the time we already spent on talking about Romanov's club ... he does know how he can get the media to focus on him + Hearts.

Romanov was picking the team, telling Burley at the time who he could pick and if he didnt pick his team.. Well we know what the outcome of that one was. He is simply a dictator. Management isnt the answer for him.

Thats very true. Why would you sack a manager when he has you on top of the table. Astounding to me.

Ahead of Rangers first game.. bad news!

Rangers midfielder Barry Ferguson will not the start his SPL season for another five weeks as he recovers from a heel injury.

The club captain will miss Rangers League opener at Motherwell on Sunday, as he still attempts to recover from surgery he had on his ankle in April.

Its thought that swelling around the players heel means the Scottish international will have to be replaced by Croatian Dado Prso this weekend.
