I don't really see what can be done about it though.. How can you possibly stop people in the crowd from throwing things at players? Erect a big see-through wall between the fans and pitch!? I don't see that they can actually stop it happening, but maybe they could punish the club/fans by playing a few games behind closed doors .. although that is unfair on the club and the 99.9% majority of the fans who behave. It's a tough situation.

It's only a 15 point gap.

Well what about the poor players who are risking their lives going out to play a game? I think nets should be put up or something, We simply have to do something, look at the amount of incidents this weekend, Its completely unacceptable.

It's still Glasgow Rangers & Celtic who're playing their own competition.

It's terrible indeed, but it's also like Neil said: What do you want the FIFA to do?

We've had several incidents here in Holland too last season. Sure, everyone has a suggestion, but not one, realistic solution makes 100% sure things like this never happen again.

I want serious hardline fines for the clubs and the clubs to find these idiots and ban them for life.

Nets might work if the netting was made small and strong enough, otherwise a coin or heavy object would still be able to break through. I think one of the most realistic solutions would be to simply play a game or two behind closed doors at the clubs where trouble always happens - that way it might make some of the people causing trouble learn that this is not acceptable. It's also likely to make the rest of the supporters more vigilant and helpful in stopping this happening again.

I can think of one solution actually, but I doubt it's possible with the current technology.. forcefields.

Celtic are currently 5-0 up against Clyde!
