I think they have won the Uefa cup some years ago and Celtic were very close last year.

European Cup

1967: Celtic beat Inter Milan 2-1 in the final at Lisbon.

UEFA Cup

No Scottish team has ever won, but Dundee United were beaten in the final in 1987 by Gothenburg 2-1 on aggregate.

Cup Winners Cup

1972: Rangers beat Dynamo Moscow 3-2 in the final at Barcelona.

1983: Aberdeen beat Real Madrid 2-1 in Gothenburg (aet).

i see. well it seems like there has been some time sins they won any-. lets hope we can se somthing good from them this year. just not in cl

I don't think there's much chance of any Scottish team winning the UEFA Cup this year .... their two best teams are in the Champions League and out of those two I can only see Celtic going far .... maybe Rangers for second place in Man. Unted's group.

Celtic are capable of beating Lyon and Anderlecht in their group, the hardest team in there will most definitely be Bayern Munich.

Rangers should be capable of beating Stuttgart and possibly Panathaniakos .... but I don't see them standing much of a chance against Manchester United.

well i think anderlecht will be harder than lyon and bayer didnt do any good last year.

but they may get to the 2nd stage but not make the 2nd stage.
if u get the drift

Bayern did have a funny CL last season, I think it could have been a fluke year for them, but if the same happens again this season .....

lol .... well yea.. i ment that i think they have a pretty good shot on making the 2nd stage

but to ectually do any good in the 2nd stage , cant see that.
