| Jonah Lomu may never walk again.. | | This is really sad.
New Zealand rugby giant Jonah Lomu has been told he may never walk again if he does not have a kidney transplant.
His dialysis treatment has had the side-effect of causing nerve damage to his feet. He has been told he could end up in a wheelchair unless he has a kidney transplant.
"I had nine good years of playing rugby after being given that warning but I have some unfinished business and I will be giving my all to play again.
"I want to finish on my own terms. The word impossible is nothing," he said. |

| that is tragic. i was just talking about him today. I said, if i had the means, i would give my kidney.
one of my favorite international players ever. I hope that he can recover, and knock the stuffing out of ENG again: )

| In other rugby related news...
1. The Super 12 is about to start. i can't wait to see how the teams perform, this is definetly one of the most excting tournaments in the world.
2. The Springboks have a new coach - none other than Jake White, i'm really excited and happy that he has been appointed, as i am a massive fan and admirer of his. Now i have the confidence again in beloved South African Rugby.
Jake White: "As you know over the past few years I have worked very closely with the juniors and there is a huge pool of talent to choose from. When I was at the international coaching conference recently (Australian coach) Eddie Jones said they were terrified that if South Africa managed to get it right they would never be able to compete with us because genetically and physically we produce superior athletes."
White said he promised to re-establish the aura that was once associated with the national colours and regain the confidence of the public in the face of the negativism currently sweeping the game in this country. |

| i'd like to see how eng go since they also without Johnson, and Back. Also Robinson playing at centre will be interesting to watch, especially defensively.
all the best to ireland - maybe they can reverse the WC result vs France.
Ireland and SA go head to head this season - will make interesting discussions.

| i was a little impressed with wales, and extremely disappointed with Scotland (i thought they'd give a better show after listening to their new coach during the off season)
Sorry about Ireland, france scored some mighty impressive tries. |
