| Everyone is delighted that we wont the triple crown but of course England are not happy and it would be hard without the players they lost. |

| the international season is upon us emma.
some mouth-watering clashes coming up - and i bet the upcoming ties that will have most interest for both of us is the Springboks vs Ireland series starting this week.
i was very disappointed with a few team choices - and the inury of Butch James which will keep him out till the super 12 next year. He was gonna be the automatic choice at flyhalf for the boks, he had a terrific super 12 - and would have made such a difference in the backline with his solid defence and dreamy passes. He plays for my home team (Natal) and another irritation was the non-inclusion of Davidson at scrumhalf. so the team only has a couple of Natal players which ANNOYS me! |

| Yes, I wonder how Ireland will get on, I am looking forward to these games. England still without Wilkinson, not the same team without him. |

| i am gonna get to watch the game on TV after all, i was scheduled to work at 2pm on saturday - which meant that i would be able to see NZ vs ENG, but miss SA vs IRE, but i got to swap shifts, so now i can watch SA beat Ireland and then the opening Euro 2004 game. i just need to find some time to study for my Monday Exam now. |

| what a pleasing day (or two) for southern hemisphere rugby. NZ, RSA, ARG and AUS all win, while ENG, IRE, WAL and SCO lose.
in terms of the RSA-IRE game:
It was weird watching SA in a white kit - reminded me of ENGLAND. SA weren't that great, but they did enough to win, the kicking was horrendous, as i said i don't like the team that much, but it was satisfying to see a win, at the end.
Brian O'Driscoll was good as usual - a few good breaks, if IRE can just step up a little, then they can really get SA in the next test. |

| i was overjoyed - to be honest. i expected a NZ win, but not by such a margin - with only 3 pts to ENG. I wonder what clive woodward would say to them. |
