Pro-wrestler turned movie star The Rock is in talks to play cartoon character "Johnny Bravo" in a live-action film, according to studio sources.

Bravo is the dim-witted, Elvis-voiced, womanizer made famous on the Cartoon Network, while The Rock, a.k.a Duane Johnson, is the WWE star.

The network is currently mulling the possibility of turning Bravo into a live-action film as early as next year, sources told The Post.

A Cartoon Network spokeswoman and Johnson's reps declined to comment.

Johnson, 30, skyrocketed into the mainstream last year playing Mathayus the Scorpion King in "The Mummy Returns." He reprised the role in his own blockbuster film, "The Scorpion King," earlier this year.

Honestly, I don't think a Johnny Bravo of flesh and blood would be as funny as the animated version. And the thought of The Rock playing him scares me. lol

Yes, it's a cartoon. You really don't know who he is? He's this popular-wannabe guy who's got the body and stuff. He always wants to score with the chicks, but never succeeds. He thinks a whole lot of himself, and that he can score any chick he'd want when he shows off his packs. But the chicks are never interested in him. Fact is, he can't comprehend that, so he keeps trying again still believing he's a hot date. He doesn't understand it at all.
