Default READ NOW! Smackdown! Champion topics

I haven't started following WWE! but Nick asked me to post this thread in here for him in the hope that no one will be spoiled regarding the event, so over to Nick..

USE THE SPOILER FEATURE THIS WEEK!

A friend of mine told me that WWE.com, in a stroke of pure stupidity, has revealed the winner of the Championship Battle Royal at last night's taping. Apparently they even described exactly how the match went down.

Well I don't want it spoiled for me or anyone else who feels the same way I do. So anything regarding the Smackdown! tapings is to be posted with the spoiler feature.

Ryan, if you post the Smackdown! preview, use the spoiler if it mentions the name of the new champ.

Hopefully this doesn't come off as me being a douchebag. But I really hate when people are pumped to watch a show knowing something exciting is going to happen and then somebody just TELLS THE WORLD the results and takes away the anticipation.

WWE didn't slip. Prowrestling.com and other sites get the results the night they are done. I think WWE wanted to be the first to break it rather than the others. Basically beat them to the story and flush out their jobs? Not a bad call on Vince's part

Well I think it sucks, in my own personal situation.

If WWE.com hadn't done that crap, then my friend wouldn't have accidentally found out the results. I suggested he write WWE an email and give them a piece of his mind. And if all this hadn't happened, my friend's stupidity wouldn't have come into play either. Tonight he sent me an email to tell me what he sent to WWE.com and the idiot included the name of the winner in the email he sent to me.

IDIOTS!

It seems to be WWE new 'strategy'.

The only thing is, that those sites give out a lot more than just SmackDown results spoilers.
They spoil future storylines of both RAW and SmackDown, spoil future new contract signings and so on ...

Now is WWE also going to beat them to those stories? If they do so, in time they'll kill off their own ratings.

----------

They used to do their best at keeping the SmackDown results (taped on Tuesdays) secret untill they air on tv. To no avail though as many sites spoiled the results all over the internet from Wednesdays on.

But is this now WWE's biggest and best solution????

I can't watch the shows anyway, so it doesn't matter for me. But I'm sure a lot of other wrestlng fans are 'victims'.

The only solution now seems to ban everything WWE related from your internet live! Don't talk to your WWE friends who might have read the spoilers and yes ... STOP visiting this forum!!!

WWE ROCKS.

It's supposed to be a ratings winner but with Prowrestling spoiling who won it, its a bit of a killer.

I am EXTREMELY happy about who has won it! But you'll have to wait till friday to see!

Spoiler!
He was champ long enough, yes. He was a good heel champ though in my opinion. Surely for his first major title run. Winning by DQ or interference, but during his matches selling well, bleeding and taking BIG hits. Chokeslam from top of cage through ring by Big Show. Tombstone on steel steps by Taker. Few times through announce table ...

That's pretty much what I've been doing for the past two years. My WWE friends know not to say too much to me, and I don't go into threads that might contain spoilers. The only reason I'm spoiled with both new champs is cause of a webforum about the new SmackDown game. Which both of them I still need to see. Though I am in no hurry anymore, heh.
