Reactions after their first match ... | | Neither Rosey nor Jamal said they were nervous before battling Billy and Chuck at Unforgiven. First World Wrestling Entertainment match? No problem.
“I don’t get nervous doing this,” Jamal said. “This is what I do. I’m used to it.”
Said Rosey, “I get more nervous on little shows than on big shows.”
He was referring to small events promoted by his family. If he messes up on one of those shows, he said, he’ll hear about it from his father.
But wrestling on their first WWE Pay-Per-View is not nerve-wracking for two Superstars who grew up in the business and wrestled for several years, including in Japan, before coming to WWE.
It was, however, their first match in several weeks, as they’ve only been running in to the ring and destroying victims on RAW after Eric Bischoff says “three minutes.”
“Being the first match in a couple of months, I don’t think we missed a beat,” Rosey said.
Rosey has been battling a nagging cartilage problem in his hip, but after the match he pronounced himself in fine health, saying he was just feeling the normal post-fight tightness.
Chuck said he enjoyed competing against the two 300-plus-pounders and wishes that they could continue to rivalry. He said he was impressed with their physical ability.
“Especially at their size,” he said. “Those guys have a bright future ahead of them.” |
