Default RAW in Columbia (9/26/04)

OK, so I forgot to post about it. But last Sunday, I went to the RAW house show in Columbia, MO. It was great. My friends came to visit from home and we all watched the show. We had 2nd row seats right by the entrance ramp.

I'd have to say the most entertaining match of the night was Eugene and William Regal vs. La Resistance. Eugene chased everyone around with the French Flag, rode it like a horse, and whatnot. He even got Regal to do his version of the People's Elbow, appropriately dubbed by us "The Regal Elbow."

We also got to see that Simon Dean guy in live action. He was fine, just like any typical wrestler. He has a nice gimmick and he's definitely good at getting under people's skin. He fought Val Venis and got DQued when he gathered up his shit and walked out. So he's playing the quitter for sure.

We also saw some new guy who'll probably be on TV sometime in the near future. I can't even pronounce or spell or remember his name. But his manager looks like that guy from a few years back, Tiger Ali Singh. It's a whole middle eastern gimmick. Just another version of La Resistance. Anti-America, only with just one wrestler and he's Arab.

Other than that, there was nothing really new to report on. All the matches were fun. It wasn't the best show I've ever been to. But it was good nonetheless. Triple H and Batista faced Orton and Benoit in the main event. My best friend's sister is in LOVE with Randy. And he was slapping hands with the fans after the match and he missed her hand by one person. He slapped the hand of the person right next to her, then crossed over to the other side of the entrance aisle. Unfortunately, she was crushed. But she's fine now and still in love with him.

OH! Kane fought Gene Snitsky and actually had quite a tough time with him. Snitsky is a beast and is not a pushover at all. But Kane did chokeslam him fiercely and get the win. The crowd was very much on Kane's side, cheering him loudly. He actually played to the crowd after the match, kinda spinning around and smiling. He made it very obvious that he was enjoying the applause. I hope WWE is paying attention. The fans want to turn him face. Well, at least the fans in Columbia I guess.

That's pretty cool, glad you had a good time!

At first I thought this was the monday version of RAW, and since I'm behind on that, I didn't want to read cause I didn't wanna be spoiled. But it was a house show! *smacks head*

Anyways, I'm right now watching the RAW in the UK and he did the Regal Elbow again.

Simon Dean. You know, at first I thought that dude was a real commercial that you guys have over there. Slowly I began to realize that his crap talk is actually a WWE promo. And let me tell you, I haven't watched a single one of his promos all the way to the end yet.

An Arab? Oh-oooh, is that a good idea?

Randy, I like him too, he's awesome. At Backlash, he made a fan out of me! And he's from your town.

Kane is looking to become a faceheel, as it seems to me. The heel that everybody loves, so to speak. He still beats people into the hostital, but the fans love it, heh. Nobody gives a shit about Val Venus, so they cheer when Kane comes out and beats the living hell out of him. When you think about it, that's kinda disturbing...

But I like the Snitsky angle, even though I'm wondering sometimes, if they're not going a bit too far with the baby thing, and the disrespect that is shown towards the whole baby loss idea. That's about the worst thing that can happen to a human being, and somehow I end up feeling that anyone who went through that and might have been a WWE fan, is a fan no longer.

Sidenote, have you noticed that Snitsky looks a lot like the Big Show? His face, the way he talks, they might be related!
