| Actually, this tradition was broken at WrestleMania 2000 when Big Show was supposed to face Triple H after winning the Royal Rumble. But then Rock won a #1 Contender Match against Big Show to get the shot. Big Show complained and was added back as part of a Triple Threat. Linda McMahon later added Mick Foley as the fourth member of the revised main event, a Fatal Fourway Elimination match with a McMahon in every corner.
Triple H won at WrestleMania. |

| RAW Results February 9th:
The fireworks went off in the arena for the start of WWE RAW, live from Portland, Oregon and by my account, this is the first WWE televised event from the state of Oregon!
Tonight, Booker T and Rob Van Dam challenge Randy Orton for the Intercontinental Title in a Triple Threat Match. Plus, Chris Benoit battles Ric Flair in a one on one match and following that, Chris Benoit has a date with the Game as we witness the contract signing between Chris Benoit and Triple H for their Wrestlemania main event for the World Heavyweight Title!
Bill Goldberg's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring to a tremendous ovation from the crowd in Portland and he's set for a one on one match. Lilian Garcia started to announce Goldberg's opponent but Vince McMahon's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the Chairman of the WWE! Vince McMahon got in the ring and said "Well I'll be damned!" Imagine this, Vince McMahon in the same ring as Bill Goldberg. Vince is sure Goldberg is wondering why Mr. McMahon is out here. He's wondering just who is going to be his next opponent. Just who's going to walk down that ramp and be next. You see, Vince is here to inform Goldberg that there is no more "next" tonight. You see, as of this moment, Vince McMahon is officially canceling his match!
Here's an explanation. You see... Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring on his ATV and rode around the ring and then parked it at ringside and got in the ring with Vince McMahon and Bill Goldberg!
Vince McMahon got angered and Stone Cold said he'd like to ask Vince one single question. What in the hell is he doing on this show? Because he's come out here and he's already broken two of Stone Cold's laws. First of all, he's in Stone Cold's ring and he doesn't belong there. Second of all, he's pissing Austin off. Austin gave Vince a quick minute to explain himself and remove his little yellow carcass from his ring. Proceed...
Vince said he has an explanation and that's clearly this. Last week, he's watching RAW and he sees Stone Cold conveniently take a ringside ticket that his buddy gave him to No Way Out and he gave it to Bill Goldberg and then he said "Now Bill, don't do anything I wouldn't do." Austin asked what's wrong with that and Vince said there isn't a damn thing Austin wouldn't do and not a damn thing Goldberg wouldn't do either. Before they go through with this, they need to listen to the voice of reason and the voice of consequences. That's not Vince's voice because quite frankly tonight, Vince has invited someone. The fans chanted "Asshole, asshole!" and Austin said once again, that's 10,000 people calling him an asshole. Vince said last week, Austin talked about equal time, therefore Vince has invited someone here tonight to give Austin the consequences and the reason and he may soil RAW forever and that man is the Smackdown! General Manager, Paul Heyman!
Paul Heyman came out to the ring and he said that Vince has a star studded lineup here and obviously, he saved the best for last. As for Austin using a legal loophole to coax Chris Benoit to jump from Smackdown! to RAW, Austin ought to be a shamed of himself. But he's not here to address Austin, he's here to address Goldberg. Paul said he wanted to let Goldberg know to his face that he's not going to allow Goldberg to come to No Way Out, the very first Smackdown! pay per view of the Paul Heyman administration and ruin his main event.
You see, Goldberg has a front row ticket and he can't stop him from using it. In fact, he encourages him to use that ticket because Smackdown! is the superior brand and No Way Out will be a great show. But that's all Goldberg is going to do, sit in the front row like a nice boy and watch the main event. While Goldberg may be the big fish in the small pond known as RAW, Brock Lesnar is a shark that will eat Goldberg alive. So with the power invested in him by Vince McMahon and with Brock Lesnar telling him to pass this message, it goes like this; Goldberg will sit in his seat and watch Brock Lesnar defend his title against Eddie Guerrero and he will not interfere in that match because if he does, Brock Lesnar will deal with Goldberg and by the time Brock Lesnar is done with Goldberg, nobody will ever look at Goldberg and say "Who's next?" They'll look at him and say "Who's Goldberg?" Paul asked Goldberg if he understands him? Goldberg snarled and snatched the mic from Vince and said "understand this." He's said it before and he'll say it again, Brock Lesnar is NEXT!
Paul Heyman then started complaining, saying that he can't talk to him that way because he's Paul Heyman. It's about time there's a real General Manager around here. As Heyman went on and on, Goldberg backed off and speared the General Manager of Smackdown! right down to the mat. Stone Cold Steve Austin then called for some beers and he grabbed a couple and kicked Paul Heyman out of the ring and drank them. Goldberg went to spear Vince McMahon but Vince moved out of the way and got out of the ring and Goldberg plowed through Stone Cold Steve Austin to send him crashing down to the mat!
Stone Cold was shown in the backstage area and he was in pain. Goldberg showed up and told Austin that was a mistake. He's not apologizing or sucking up. He's telling him man to man it was a mistake. So he wants to know from Austin if he should expect a stunner when his back is turned or what? Because he thought they were cool. Austin said he'll tell him like it is. If he does decide to give him a Stone Cold stunner, it's not going to be a mistake. Austin left and Goldberg said he can live with that.
Eric Bischoff was shown backstage and Vince McMahon stormed into his office and asked him if he saw what happened out there? Bischoff's man Goldberg is a lunatic and a ticking time bomb. He tried to spear Vince McMahon, the Chairman of the Board. Vince McMahon told Eric Bischoff to tell his man Bill Goldberg that Vince said he's officially suspended. Eric said he'll take care of it and Vince angrily said that if Goldberg shows up at No Way Out this Sunday, then it's going to be Bischoff's ass! Mixed Tag Team Match - Trish Stratus and Chris Jericho vs. Molly Holly and Matt Hardy
The music of Trish Stratus hit in the arena and she made her way out to the ring for a mixed tag team match with Chris Jericho against Molly Holly and Matt Hardy!
Chris Jericho started the match off in the ring against Matt Hardy and the two locked it up in the center of the ring and Chris put Matt in a side headlock into a hammer lock and Matt countered it into a hammer lock of his own. Matt held his arm up and yelled "I'm V1uhhh" and that gave Chris Jericho the opportunity to nail Matt in the head with a reverse elbow.
Chris Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho on Matt Hardy but Matt got to the ropes to break it up and then he made the tag to Molly. Molly got in the ring and confronted Chris Jericho and Chris smacked her on the ass and then made the tag to Trish Stratus.
Chris Jericho knocked Matt Hardy down to the arena floor with a springboard drop kick and Molly went to the top rope but Chris bounced off the ropes to knock her down. Chris then got out of the ring and went at it with Matt as Trish came out and went to the top rope and pulled Molly down with a head scissors.
Matt Hardy tripped up Trish Stratus and Christian came out to the ring and took out Matt Hardy and then Trish Stratus rolled Molly Holly up with a victory roll to pick up the win!
Christian left the ring with a smirk on his face and Trish Stratus got out of the ring to attend to Chris Jericho as he was down on the outside of the ring, holding his knee.
Trish was shown backstage leaving the trainer's room and she ran into Christian. Trish asked him what was that? Christian said that's what he's here to talk to her about. He's been a real jerk and jealous but since Trish and Chris are friends, there's no reason the three of them can't have a healthy relationship. Christian asked Trish if Chris is OK and Trish said he's not, his knee is sprained and he could be out for a couple weeks. Christian said he's going to go in and check on him and before he went in, he told Trish that she looks real good tonight.
Mark Jindrak and Garrison Cade were shown backstage looking at the new Playboy Magazine featuring Torrie and Sable and Stacy and Jackie showed up.
Cade and Jindrak told them that they should have picked Jackie and Stacy. Stacy said that this is not the end for them, this is just the beginning and they are going to show the rest of the world that they're not so bad themselves. They're not taking this one lying down.
Mick Foley was shown walking through the backstage area and The Coach caught up with him. Coach asked Mick what he's doing here tonight? Hasn't he been embarrassed enough already by Randy Orton? Mick said that he has been embarrassed but tonight, it's going to be Mick's turn to embarrass Randy Orton either by embarrassing him, costing him his Intercontinental Championship or maybe both! Ric Flair vs. Chris Benoit
Ric Flair's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as one half of the World Tag Team Champions and this is a one on one match with Ric Flair against the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Title and that's Chris Benoit! As the match started, Jim Ross noted that Mark Henry could miss four months of action due to the Crippler Crossface he was put in last week by Chris Benoit!
Chris Benoit tied it up with Ric Flair and Flair backed Benoit into the corner and the referee called for a break and he got just that. Benoit and Flair locked it up once again and Flair backed Benoit into the corner and gave him a shot to the mid section and then a hard knife edge chop across the chest and Benoit responded with a knife edge chop of his own to return the favor.
Chris Benoit went for the Crippler Crossface in the early going but Flair was able to get to the ropes to break it up. The fight between Flair and Benoit dumped to the outside of the ring and the two got into a chopping contest and Benoit busted Flair's chest open with a hard knife edge chop in front of the fans in the front row.
Ric Flair went to the tope rope but Chris Benoit cut him off and he gave Ric Flair a super plex from the top rope and then he quickly got up and went to the top rope and came off with the flying headbutt but Flair rolled out of the way and Benoit went crashing down to the mat.
Chris Benoit went for a sleeper hold on Ric Flair but Flair countered it into a sleeper hold of his own. Chris Benoit got out of the sleeper hold by dropping down to the mat, pulling Flair into the top turnbuckle.
Chris Benoit hooked Ric Flair in a series of German suplexes and Flair eventually reached for the referee and grabbed a hold of his shirt and while he had the referee distracted, Flair kicked Benoit in the groin to send him down to the mat.
With Benoit down on the mat, Ric Flair grabbed Benoit by the leg and put him in the figure four leg lock but Chris Benoit quickly got to the ropes to break the hold.
Ric Flair went for the figure four once again but Chris Benoit grabbed Flair by the arm and countered the figure four into the Crippler Crossface to force Ric Flair to tap out and pick up the win!
The fans in attendance gave Chris Benoit a standing ovation as Chris Benoit celebrated his win and pumped himself up for Wrestlemania! Triple H was shown looking on from the backstage area and he called referee Chad Patton over to tell Eric Bischoff to get that ring ready because that contract signing on RAW is NEXT!
With Chris Benoit still in the ring, the red carpet was rolled out and the table and chairs were brought out to the ring. Eric Bischoff came out and he said as the General Manager of RAW, he is here to oversea the official contract signing for the World Title Match at Wrestlemania XX. Standing before you is the man that successfully defeated the legendary Ric Flair, Chris Benoit. And the man that needs no formal introduction, the Heavyweight Champion of the World, Triple H!
Eric Bischoff asked Triple H and Chris Benoit to please be seated. Triple H sat down and Benoit remained standing.
Eric Bischoff said that the contract is official and as the World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H has the option of signing first. Eric Bischoff gave Triple H the contract and he signed it. Eric then said that it is Chris Benoit's turn to sign. Triple H said to hold on a second. Chris Benoit looks calm, ready, confident and strong. But Triple H knows the reality. The reality is he's feeling a bit queasy inside. His stomach is in knots, his knees are weak. It's OK, it's nervousness. It's understandable and it means he accepts and understands why he's here today. It means he understands that tonight, he looks over the edge and makes the decision on whether or not he should jump off. The question is, if he jumps, will he land on his feet or will it all be over?
Triple H asked Chris to imagine something, what it's going to feel like that night at Madison Square Garden, Wrestlemania XX. The main event for the World Heavyweight Championship, the one Championship that means that you are the man. The Championship that means you are the best and you are the king. Benoit knows that because that's why he's here. He wants to beat the best to be the best. Imagine what it's going to be like that night and he stands in the middle of the ring and they raise his hand in victory and it all washes over him. Imagine the feeling as all that cheering washes over him and he feels that rush inside his body. It's justification. It means that all those years, all those grueling nights in the gym, all that time in the ring in Japan, in the U.S. and all over the world, it means that all of it in that one moment becomes worth it. Think about it, when you stand in the middle of that ring and you hold what might as well be Benoit's life over his head and 25,000 fans stand on their feet and they chant "Benoit, Benoit!" Snap out of it, because it's a real nice dream but this is reality and reality says that Chris Benoit will choke. Reality says that at the end of that night, Benoit is going to be sitting alone in a locker room, no one there with him, by himself. No one to pat him on the back, no fans chanting his name. He will sit in a chair alone staring down blankly into his bag, in the space that he had so nicely reserved for the World Heavyweight Championship belt so that he could bring it home. Only that spot will be empty, just like what's left of Benoit's career. Think about it, at WrestleMania, 18 years, a lifetime of blood, sweat and tears will all be for nothing! Absolutely NOTHING. Chris Benoit started to grab the contract and Triple H told him to hold on. Opportunities like this come once in a lifetime and you have to ask yourself, is it worth it to know that after it's all said and done that it's the end? This is the opportunity of a lifetime and this is what dreams are made of but this is not a dream, this is reality, this is reality and Triple H is reality! So go ahead and sign the paper, no pressure.
Chris Benoit got ready to sign the contract but the music of the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and grabbed a mic. Shawn told Chris that he knows this is a huge moment for him and the last thing he wanted to do was rain on his parade. Shawn more than anybody can appreciate what Benoit has been through. He went through 29 men at the Royal Rumble and he has earned a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship and he respects that. But the thing is, he just assumed that he'd take care of his business on Smackdown! and he probably should have because Benoit needs to understand something; the issue with Triple H and himself isn't over with, not by a long shot. This thing between them far eclipses any dream, contract or any piece of paper. This thing has been nearly ten years in the making and he is this close to finishing it and finish it he will and he's going to do it whether anybody likes it or not, on the biggest stage of them all, Wrestlemania XX, Madison Square Garden and he's going to do it for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Chris Benoit took the mic and he said that he has got absolutely nothing but the utmost respect for Shawn Michaels and he can talk for anyone sitting in this building.
Let's say that Chris Benoit will be the last to deny Shawn his right to finish his issue with Triple H, it's just not going to happen at Wrestlemania XX. You see, Benoit is going to sign this dotted line right beside Triple H's and at Wrestlemania XX, it is going to be Chris Benoit vs. Triple H for the World Title. It's going to be Benoit, not Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels responded with a super kick to knock Chris Benoit down to the mat as Triple H stood on the outside of the ring with a smile on his face.
Shawn didn't look too happy with his decision to super kick Benoit down to the mat and with Benoit down on the mat, Shawn took the pen and signed the contract himself and that made Triple H none too pleased. |

| Kane vs. the Hurricane
As Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler spoke about what just went down in the ring, Kane's pyro went off to interrupt them and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one contest against his former tag team partner, the Hurricane!
The Hurricane gave Kane a number of hard right hands to start it off but Kane easily battled back with a knee to the mid section. The Hurricane then went off the ropes and then he stopped and lured Kane to the outside of the ring.
img]http://raw.wwe.com/results/020904/images/17.jpg[/img]
Kane gave the Hurricane a sidewalk slam and then he planted him with the choke slam and then the pin for the three count to pick up the easy win.
Kane went to set off his pyro as he normally does but nothing happened and that angered Kane.
Kane attempted to do it again but once again, nothing. The fans heavily chanted "Taker, Taker!" and Kane continued to get pissed off. Kane finally got his pyro to go off and he smiled and then the lights went purple and another weird video played on the Titantron to freak Kane out. This time, it said "In 34 days, the dead will rise again!" with many shots of the Undertaker in his old form.
Chris Benoit was shown walking through the backstage area and Eric Bischoff showed up. Benoit asked Eric what kind of GM is he? What was that all about? Eric said that he has every right to be upset and he has every right to be here on RAW. By winning the Rumble, he earned the right to face the Champion at Wrestlemania but he has a problem; Shawn's signature is on the contract and he is going to work that out. But Eric is going to give Benoit something he wants and something he deserves but next week live on RAW, it is going to be Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels!
Terri was shown with Randy Orton and she asked him for his thoughts going into tonight's match? Randy said that it's completely unfair that he has to defend his title this close to Wrestlemania, let alone in a Triple Threat Match against RVD and Booker T. He doesn't even have to get pinned to lose! And to top it off, he has to worry about Mick Foley. Last week, Randy had Shawn Michaels beat and then Mick Foley gets involved. His thoughts are that it's a conspiracy!
Goldberg was shown walking through the backstage area and he looked as though he were leaving but Coach caught up with him and asked him what he's going to do now that he's been suspended by Mr. McMahon? Goldberg said he doesn't think he made himself clear. You see, he doesn't give a damn what anybody says. He's still got his ticket, he's still going to No Way Out and oh yes, Brock Lesnar is still next!
Mick Foley's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring with a little something on his mind. Mick thanked the fans for their cheers and he said that he wants to make it very clear that he did not come out here tonight to screw up Randy Orton's Intercontinental Championship match. He came out here to explain to everyone in Portland, Oregon and around the world that on December 14, 2003, he turned his back and walked away on a match with Randy Orton. Now some people called him a coward, some people didn't. But one man became fixated with the idea that Foley is a coward. Randy Orton became obsessed with the idea of Mick Foley as coward and if his history tells him one thing, it tells him that when one individual becomes obsessed with one individual's faults, usually that person has something to hide of his own. What does this tell us about Randy Orton?
Mick would like to tell everyone a story about a young soldier. There he is, young Randall Orton, who joined the United States Marine Core to serve his country and do the United States of America proud, but this isn't the story of silver star, purple hearts or combinations of any kind. No, when it comes to Randy Orton, it's the story of a man who went AWOL, Absent Without Leave for 82 days. A story of a man who was given early dismissal for bad conduct. It's not the story of a man who walked away from a wrestling match, it's a story of a man who turned his back on his country. Mick said that when Randy Orton talks about a gutless coward, was he talking about himself? Mick gives Randy the ultimate chance to redeem himself. He refers to himself as a legend but as far as Mick is concerned, there is only one place and one time when a wrestler becomes a legend. That place is Wrestlemania and that time is March 14, 2004. He can call it the battle of the legends or the battle of the cowards. He doesn't give a damn. But what he wants is Randy Orton in one corner, Mick in the other. What he wants is a piece of Randy Orton's ass at Wrestlemania!
Randy appeared on the Titantron to answer the challenge and he asked Mick how does he know if he's going to have the match or walk out? If they want to settle their issues and if Mick wants to prove to Randy and the entire world that he isn't a coward, then they do it on Randy's terms. That's right, one on one right here, right now. Randy said that he's in catering, so if he wants him, come get him. Mick told Randy that if he wants him back in catering, then he's on his way! Mick then got out of the ring to head to the backstage catering area and he asked Dave Hebner where Randy was and Dave told him straight away. Randy was seen standing in the room alone and Mick entered the room only to get surrounded by Batista and Flair.
Mick took a look at them and then he charged at Randy Orton and beat up on him until Flair and Batista pulled him off. Batista rammed Mick Foley into a wall and then he picked him up and held onto him as Ric Flair gave him a number of hard right hands. Batista then lifted Mick Foley up and gave him a power bomb through a table in the catering area. Randy Orton then hovered over Foley and slapped him in the head a few times. Randy seemingly left the room but he returned with a hard kick to Mick Foley's head to leave him laying.
Jerry Lawler held up the newest edition of Playboy Magazine that goes on sale this Friday and that features Torrie Wilson and Sable from the Smackdown! brand together with two different covers! Intercontinental Championship Match Triple Threat Match - Rob Van Dam vs. Booker T vs. Randy Orton
Rob Van Dam's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a Triple Threat Match against Booker T and Randy Orton with the Intercontinental Championship on the line!
Booker T went right after Randy Orton and Orton bailed out of the ring and Booker followed him. Randy met Booker with some right hands but Booker T fought back on Randy Orton as Rob Van Dam remained in the ring, looking on at the action on the outside. Booker rolled Randy Orton into the ring and Rob Van Dam quickly gave him a spinning leg drop to go to work on him.
Randy Orton planted Booker T with a DDT and then he pinned him but only got a two count as Rob Van Dam broke it up with a baseball slide.
Rob Van Dam had Randy Orton up in a spinebuster position and Booker T flew right up and knocked Randy Orton right out of RVD's hands with a heel kick.
Rob Van Dam came off the second rope with a frog splash on Booker T and then he pinned him but only got a two count.
Rob Van Dam hit Booker T with the rolling thunder and then he pinned him but only got a two count as Randy Orton pulled RVD out of the ring. Randy Orton then knocked Rob Van Dam down on the outside of the ring with a drop kick and then he got in the ring and went at it with the Bookerman.
Randy Orton went for the RKO on Booker T but Booker shoved Orton into the ropes and then he picked him up in a back suplex position and RVD went to the top rope and came off with a cross body on Orton to knock him out of Booker's arms and all three men went crashing down to the mat.
RVD eventually covered Orton but Orton was somehow able to kick out.
Booker T nailed Randy Orton with the scissors kick and then he pinned Orton but only got a two count as RVD broke it up with a senton over the top rope.
Rob Van Dam went to the top rope and came off with the five star frog splash on Booker T and then Randy Orton rolled Rob Van Dam out of the ring and pinned Booker T for the three count to pick up the win!
Ric Flair and Batista came out to the ring to celebrate Randy Orton's victory over Booker T and Rob Van Dam and as they celebrated, Mick Foley somehow hobbled out to the ring and Randy Orton got out of the ring and gave Foley the RKO on the arena floor.
Flair and Batista then beat the hell out of Booker T and Rob Van Dam in the ring. Evolution left with Foley, RVD and Booker T beaten and laying. |

| RAW Results February 16th:
RAW opened up with footage from last week's edition of RAW where we witnessed a contract signing between Chris Benoit and Triple H to make their Wrestlemania match official. Unfortunately for Chris Benoit, that contract signing was interrupted by Shawn Michaels who still feels that he deserves a shot at the World Heavyweight Title and he stated that he's going to get his rematch at Wrestlemania XX. When Chris Benoit attempted to deny Shawn out of that match, Shawn laid Chris Benoit out with a super kick and then he signed the contract himself, taking Stone Cold Steve Austin's advice; "if you want a shot at the title, do something about it!" Tonight on RAW for the first time ever, two of the greatest wrestlers to ever live will go one on one and that's Chris Benoit against Shawn Michaels!
The RAW fireworks went off in the arena and we are on the Road to Wrestlemania and Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler kicked it off on commentary! Tonight, the World Tag Team Titles will be on the line as Ric Flair and Batista of Evolution take on the challenging Rob Van Dam and Booker T!
Triple H's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the World Heavyweight Champion.
Triple H got in the mic and he said that he came straight to this ring from Eric Bischoff's office where he asked him the question who he will be facing at Wrestlemania. And Eric Bischoff didn't have an answer for him today but that's just not good enough because he has Chris Benoit breathing down his neck after winning the Royal Rumble, jumping ship to the big leagues by coming to RAW and laying claim that he's got a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. And then he has Shawn Michaels, who super kicked Chris Benoit and then signed his name on the contract that says Shawn Michaels has the legal right to face Triple H for the title at Wrestlemania and the lawyers can't make a decision as to who is right. Triple H can see where this is going and this doesn't take a genius to figure it out. It goes back to Wrestlemania X; Yokozuna defended the title against two different opponents and ended up losing the World Heavyweight Championship. Well that will not happen at Wrestlemania this year. Because this is Wrestlemania XX, the biggest event in the history of this industry. 20 years in the making, the biggest of all time so he is demanding as the standard bearer of this business, as the World Heavyweight Champion, he is demanding that Eric Bischoff come to this ring and show him the respect that he deserves and tell him who he will be facing at Wrestlemania. This is live TV and he isn't going to wait out here all night but he will wait until Bischoff comes out. Eric Bischoff came out and angrily walked to the ring. Eric told Triple H that he has every right to be agitated. Every right in the world and quite frankly, Eric agrees with Triple H. There is no way the World Heavyweight Champion should be expected to defend that title twice in one night and that's why he's been talking to the attorneys. Triple H said screw the lawyers, he wants an answer and he wants it now. Eric said he's been thinking about this. What if he cancels tonight's match between Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels? The fans heavily booed and Eric Bischoff asked them to hear him out. Eric said that he'll replace that match with a match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Triple H asked Eric what he's talking about? Eric said to hear him out and think about it. Triple H is the Champion and he'll have his choice. He can either take on Chris Benoit or Shawn Michaels; it's totally up to Triple H! And the winner of tonight's match will go onto Wrestlemania XX and defend that title. It's all figured out, so Eric asked the fans if they want to see Triple H defend the World Heavyweight Championship right here live tonight? The fans popped big time, wanting to see a Title Match and Triple H didn't seem too enthused. Triple H said he doesn't know, people seem to really want that. Is that what they'd really want? To see him defend the World Heavyweight Title right here tonight in Bakersfield? Triple H said that's not a bad idea, except for one thing. He's obviously mistaken Triple H for somebody who gives a crap what these people think! Triple H does what he wants to do when he wants to do it. The fans heavily chanted "you suck, you suck!" at Triple H and Triple H said that he wants Bischoff to give him an answer. What is he going to do at Wrestlemania because he doesn't give a crap what these people think, it doesn't matter to him.
Chris Benoit's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the man who won the Royal Rumble match to earn the right to go to Wrestlemania against the World Heavyweight Champion. Triple H told Benoit to hold on. He understands he's upset, but he's upset at the wrong guy. Triple H isn't the guy who super kicked Chris Benoit in the face. Chris snatched the mic, telling Triple H to shut his damn mouth. Chris has listened to Triple H run his mouth but now this is about Chris Benoit and he has one thing to say; Chris Benoit nailed Triple H and then he backed him into the corner and took him down to the mat and beat the tar out of him! Triple H fired back on Chris Benoit with some right hands but Benoit backed Triple H into the corner and chopped away on him. Triple H and Chris Benoit continued to go at it and Chris Benoit put Triple H in the Crippler Crossface until the rest of Evolution came out to the ring to chase Benoit out of the ring.
Evolution was shown in the backstage area and they were pissed off about what just happened and Randy offered his services to find Benoit and Triple H calmed them down, saying they have all night long to find Benoit and he's sure he'll get his. Batista and Flair have a tag team title match tonight and Triple H told Randy to make sure nothing else goes wrong. Flair and Batista left and Randy Orton told Triple H that he has it all under control. After Randy left, Triple H started knocking things over in anger. Tag Team Championship Match - Booker T and Rob Van Dam vs. Ric Flair and Batista
Booker T's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a tag team match with Rob Van Dam against Ric Flair and Batista with the World Tag Team Titles on the line! Randy Orton accompanied Ric Flair and Batista out to the ring to be in their corner during this Tag Team Title match.
Booker T started it off against Ric Flair and the two locked it up in the center of the ring and Booker put Flair in a side headlock and Flair pushed Booker into the ropes and the referee called for a break and he got just that. Flair and Booker locked it up once again and Flair put Booker in a side headlock and Booker whipped Flair off the ropes only to get knocked down by a hard shoulder block by Flair.
Rob Van Dam hopped to the second rope and he jumped at Batista with a forward flip to knock him down to the mat and then he gave Ric Flair a cheap shot. RVD went to the top rope and came off with a kick to the chest of Batista and then he went for the rolling thunder but Orton hopped to the ring apron. RVD knocked Orton down to the arena floor with a kick.
Booker T went for the scissors kick on Ric Flair but Randy Orton grabbed Booker by the leg and pulled him to the ring apron and slammed his leg into the ring apron. Batista then grabbed hold of Booker T in the ring and gave him a spinebuster and then Flair covered Booker but only got a two count.
As the match was going on, Mick Foley stormed out to the ringside area and he went at it with Randy Orton, putting the Mandible Claw on Orton.
Batista went over to break it up but Foley bumped Orton into Batista to knock him silly as Ric Flair had Booker T in the figure four leg lock in the middle of the ring.
Rob Van Dam went to the top rope and came off with the five star frog splash on Ric Flair to break the figure four leg lock and then Booker T covered Ric Flair for the three count to win the Tag Team Titles!
Rob Van Dam and Booker T celebrated their win in the ring and hugged and then they got out of the ring as Batista got in the ring to check on Ric Flair who was down and out. Batista looked over at Booker T and Rob Van Dam and he couldn't believe what he saw with Booker and RVD now carrying the Tag Team Gold!
Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler congratulated Eddie Guerrero on his title win at No Way Out and then they talked about Goldberg's appearance at No Way Out and showed footage of what went down just last night on pay per view.
Stone Cold was shown with Eric Bischoff and Austin was talking about what went down at No Way Out. Eddie Guerrero won the WWE Title with the help of Goldberg and they have everything in line on their side, but what about the RAW title? Eric said that he'll figure it out, but give him some time. Austin said he'll give him some time but he has to figure it out before the end of the night because if he doesn't, he'll be in clear violation of Stone Cold's law. If he hasn't gotten it figured out by the end of the night, Austin is going to drag Bischoff to the ring, stomp a mud hole in him and walk it dry! Austin asked Bischoff if he makes himself clear? Bischoff said "crystal" and then he left the room and came across Randy Orton. Randy said that it's time to end the stuff with Foley. He's going to the ring and he's going to call Mick Foley out and when Mick Foley gets to that ring, they're going to have themselves a fight whether Bischoff likes it or not. Bischoff said "fine, but it's not sanctioned." Randy told Bischoff that tonight, Mick Foley won't walk out of Bakersfield.
Chris Jericho was shown backstage and Christian showed up and said that he heard Chris is wrestling Kane tonight. Why? Chris said that Bischoff is screwing with him, so he has to have the match. Chris said that he's friends with Christian, right? He's going to tell him something that he hasn't told anyone else. He wants to be more than friends with Trish. It may be a little cheesy but he's going to give her a rose as a happy belated Valentines Gift. What does Christian think? Christian said he might be making a mistake. Who's to say Trish isn't interested in something else? Christian said that he's just saying and Chris asked him if he's heard anything and Christian said that he hasn't. Christian tried to tell Chris to forget about the stuff with Trish because he has Kane tonight and he needs to get focused. Chris said that he is focused, he's going to take Kane downtown to Chinatown and then he's going to tell Trish how he feels. Chris gave the rose to Christian and asked him to hold it and Christian remained in the locker room, thinking about something. Chris Jericho vs. Kane
Chris Jericho's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring for a one on one contest against Kane and you have to remember that Chris Jericho's knee is damaged as a result of what went down between he and Kane just a few short weeks ago on RAW. Despite Chris Jericho's knee injury, he was forced into this one on one match by Eric Bischoff.
Kane went to lock it up with Chris Jericho but Chris gave Kane a drop kick to the legs and then he kicked away on his legs to try to chop him down but Kane easily knocked Chris Jericho down to the mat with a clothesline.
Chris Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho in an attempt to end the match early but Kane used his leg strength to get out of it. Chris charged at Kane to try to get back on him but Kane gave Chris a hard thrust to the throat to knock him down to the mat.
The referee called for the bell to end the match preemptively due to Chris Jericho's leg injury but Kane didn't give a damn as he grabbed Y2J and tossed him over the top rope.
Kane got ready to set his pyro off but decided to go back at it with Chris Jericho. Kane got out of the ring and grabbed Chris Jericho and drove his knee into the ring post and this could be the end of Y2J, at least for a while. Kane took the mic and said "and let that be a lesson to you Jericho and whoever has been playing the super natural mind games with him." If you think he's gullible enough to think the Undertaker is behind this, he's not. Kane buried the Undertaker alive! The Undertaker no longer exists to him; he is dead, dead, dead! Kane then set off the pyro and arrogantly got out of the ring but the lights went dark and everything turned purple and another video played on the Titantron and it said in 27 days, the dead will rise again. Kane walked to the top of the stage and at the top of the stage, it started lightning and raining all over Kane as it was darkened in the arena and an Undertaker "gong" went off to further frighten the Big Red Machine!
Evolution's music hit in the arena and the Intercontinental Champion, Randy Orton made his way out to the ring. As he made his way to the ring, Jerry Lawler informed us that Chris Jericho is on his way to a medical facility to have his knee checked out. Randy took the mic and said he's going to make things real simple. Last week, Mick wants to challenge him to a fight at Wrestlemania? Reality check, it's not going to happen. It just wouldn't be fair. Look at Randy, he is the Intercontinental Champion and he's only 23 years old! He hasn't even reached his prime yet. And look at Mick, he's fat, disgusting, he's all broken down, he's a glory hound and he's blinded by his own ego as to the fact that his time is over. But if it's a fight Mick wants, then Randy is there. If he wants a fight, let's go. If Randy has to beat it into Mick's skull that in the year 2000, he might have been the Hardcore Legend but tonight, he's just Randy Orton's bitch!
Mick Foley's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as Randy Orton was ready for a fight. Mick got in the ring and the fans heavily chanted "Foley, Foley!" Mick and Orton exchanged right hands and Randy backed Mick into the corner but Mick turned the tables on Randy Orton by putting him in the corner and nailing him with a number of hard right hands.
Mick Foley and Randy Orton went back and forth at it and when Foley got Orton down, Ric Flair and Batista made their way out and Mick did his best to take care of them but Randy Orton gave Mick Foley a low blow from behind to send him down to the mat. That gave Evolution the opportunity to triple team Mick Foley. Evolution beat down Mick Foley and Randy Orton planted him with the RKO and the fans heavily booed as the three members of Evolution stood tall over the Hardcore Legend Mick Foley.
Mick attempted to get up off the mat but Evolution got right back on him, triple teaming him and beating the life out of him. Referee Earl Hebner came out to the ring in an attempt to send Evolution to the back but they ignored him and continued the brutal beating on Foley. During the entire beating, the crowd heavily booed the three members of Evolution out of the building, not liking what they were seeing at all. Randy Orton and Batista gave Mick Foley a double power bomb and then Randy got in Mick's ear, yelling to him that it's over and he yelled at him to stay down. Randy then stood tall over Mick Foley showing his dominance and then he grabbed the Intercontinental Title and posed in the corner to get tremendous heat from the crowd in attendance.
Mick Foley was put on a stretcher and carted out of the arena and the fans chanted "Foley, Foley!" as he was stretchered out of the arena.
Shawn Michaels was shown in the backstage area taping up his wrists and Chris Benoit showed up, telling Shawn that he has no idea what he wants to do to him right now but he will. Because tonight, Chris Benoit is going to show Shawn the same respect that Shawn showed him last week. Chris told Shawn that he wants him to think about that and then he left the room.
Eric Bischoff was shown with Stacy Keibler and Jackie Gayda and Stacy and Jackie were complaining about who was chosen for Playboy. Sable said that they don't have any class?
Jackie showed that they have some class and Stacy said she's sure they would have sold more copies than them. Eric said that if they could do that, Hugh Hefner would love to hear from them. So why not give him a call? Jackie and Stacy left the room to call Hugh Hefner.
Stone Cold Steve Austin showed up as Eric Bischoff was thinking and Austin asked him what he's doing about the main event of Wrestlemania? Eric said that he's working on it. He has his hands full now and he's got girls who want to be on the cover of Playboy. Stone Cold said that's fine but he needs him to do something and he needs him to do it now. Austin was watching the Monday Night War DVD and he made a statement on that DVD. Remember the time he challenged Vince McMahon to a fight? Basically, he said he could whip that man's ass. Eric said that he did and he thinks he could. Think about it, look at Vince McMahon's track record. When it comes to getting his ass kicked, he's the Champ. And second, Eric Bischoff is a lot younger than Vince. When it comes down to it in a street fight, Eric has that karate thing going on.
Vince McMahon showed up behind Eric as Eric was talking about how he can kick Vince's ass and Austin took a look at Vince. Eric turned around and Vince angrily said "You can what? You can kick my ass!?"
Vince asked Eric if he remembers what he said last week? Eric said that he does and Vince said that he's not going to get his ass kicked tonight but next week, Vince McMahon has a blockbuster announcement for Wrestlemania and he's going to make that announcement in his wrestling gear and that's when they're going to find out if Eric Bischoff can kick his ass! Trish Stratus and Victoria vs. Molly Holly and Jazz
The music of Trish Stratus hit in the arena and she made her way out to the ring for a tag team contest with Victoria, who was accompanied to the ring by Steven Richards and they are up against Molly Holly and Jazz. As Jazz made her way out to the ring, Jim Ross informed us that Mick Foley has been taken from the arena to a hospital and he's obviously suffered some serious head trauma.
Trish started the match off in the ring against Jazz and the two locked it up and Jazz shoved Trish Stratus down to the mat and then she backed Trish into the corner and hammered away on her.
Molly went for a suplex on Victoria but Victoria got out of it and kicked Molly in the gut and planted her with the Widow's Peak and then she pinned her for the three count to pick up the victory!
Steven Richards got in the ring and celebrated with Victoria as Trish bowed out of the ring and Test stormed to the ring and knocked both Steven Richards and Victoria down to the mat. Trish jumped on Test's back and Test shoved her down to the mat and went to power bomb her out of the ring but Christian hit the ring and went at it with Test. Christian knocked Test out of the ring and Christian turned around and took a look at Trish and then he got out of the ring to make sure Test wouldn't return. Christian got back in the ring with Trish and the two exchanged words and Trish seemed thankful that Christian came to her aid.
Christian was shown backstage and Trish showed up and thanked him. Christian said he didn't want to see her get hurt. Trish thanked him and she said that she's going to see how Jericho is. Christian suggested that they go together because he was going there too. Christian went into his locker room to grab something and he came out with it behind his back. Christian gave Trish the rose and said it's a little cheesy but this is for her. He didn't mention that the rose was really from Chris Jericho. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit
Shawn Michaels made his way out to the ring and this is a one on one match with Shawn Michaels against Chris Benoit for the very first time EVER!
Chris Benoit came out to the ring and stood face to face with Shawn Michaels and Shawn tapped his right foot on the mat in an attempt to intimidate Benoit. Benoit responded with a hard shot to the face of Michaels and then he took Michaels down by the legs and hammered away on him.
Chris Benoit went for the Crippler Crossface but Shawn Michaels quickly got to the ropes to stop Benoit from locking it in.
Shawn Michaels knocked Chris Benoit down to the mat with a flying forearm and then he nipped up to his feet and the fans booed Michaels as he got to his feet. Michaels gave Chris Benoit a body slam and then he went for a flying elbow drop but Chris Benoit rolled out of the way and Michaels went crashing down to the mat.
Shawn Michaels whipped Chris Benoit off the ropes and Shawn ducked under Benoit as he came back and when Benoit bounced off the opposite rope, Shawn got up and charged into him and both men went crashing down to the mat. The referee started the count but both men were able to get back to their feet.
Chris Benoit perched Shawn Michaels on the top rope for a super plex but Shawn fought out of it and shoved Benoit down to the mat. Shawn then came off the top rope with a flying elbow drop and connected with it this time. Shawn got up and went to the corner and tuned up for the sweet chin music and the fans were well behind Michaels at this point. Shawn went for the super kick but Chris Benoit countered it and went for the Crossface but Michaels fought out of it.
Chris Benoit pulled Shawn Michaels down to the mat by the legs and put him in the Sharpshooter and Shawn looked to be in a lot of pain as Benoit sat back on it.
Shawn struggled to get to the ropes but Benoit pulled Shawn to the center of the ring. Shawn Michaels eventually got to the bottom rope to break it up.
Shawn went for the super kick once again but Chris Benoit blocked it and grabbed Shawn and gave him a series of German suplexes.
As the match was going on, Triple H made his way out as the World Heavyweight Champion and Chris Benoit set his sights on the Champ and he signaled that he'd be going to Wrestlemania for the title. When Benoit turned around, he walked into a super kick by Shawn Michaels and then Shawn pinned Benoit for the three count to get the win!
Triple H arrogantly got in the ring and he helped Shawn Michaels up and then he kicked him in the gut and planted him with the Pedigree! Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he rode his ATV out to the ring and Austin told Triple H that it turns out that Eric Bischoff made a decision regarding the World Title at Wrestlemania but he was afraid to tell Triple H to his face because it might piss him off.
But since Austin doesn't give a rat's ass what he thinks, he'll come out here and make that announcement himself. So for the first time in the history, the World Heavyweight Championship will be decided at Wrestlemania in a Triple Threat Match! Triple H vs. Chris Benoit vs. Shawn Michaels and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so! |

| RAW Results February 23rd:
WWE RAW opened up with footage from last week's edition of RAW when Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit met in the main event, a match that many of us have waited for, for a long time! In what was a memorable match, Shawn Michaels defeated Chris Benoit and Triple H entered the ring after the fact and acted as though he was going to help Shawn Michaels to his feet but he instead gave him a Pedigree to send him crashing down to the mat. After seeing that Pedigree, Stone Cold Steve Austin came out and announced that Eric Bischoff decided that at Wrestlemania, the World Championship will be decided in a Triple Threat Match with Triple H defending the title against Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit!
The fireworks went off in the arena for the start of WWE RAW and Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler kicked it off on commentary, saying that the Road to Wrestlemania continues tonight and tonight, we will see Chris Benoit in a one on one match against Evolution's monster, Batista! But that's not all, this is going to be the night where the Monday Night War could erupt all over again because Vince McMahon will be here tonight to confront Eric Bischoff! Women's Championship Fatal Four Way Match - Lita vs. Victoria vs. Jazz vs. Molly Holly
Lita's music hit in the arena and she made her way out to the ring for a fatal four way match against Victoria, Jazz and Molly Holly with the Women's Title on the line! Jazz was accompanied to the ring by her manager Theodore Long. In this match, there will be three eliminations and the winner of the match will walk out as the Women's Champion!
Molly started it off by kicking Victoria in the gut and then the two fought to the ropes where Victoria gave Molly Holly a back body drop to the outside of the ring as Jazz and Lita went at it on the other side of the ring. Victoria rolled Jazz up in a pin but only got a two count.
Jazz gave Victoria the release chicken wing
After Victoria hit the mat, Jazz was ready to dominate her but Lita attacked her from behind and gave Jazz a DDT and then pinned her for the three count to eliminate her from the match.
Victoria rolled Molly Holly up and covered her for the three count to lose the match and the Women's Title and now whoever wins between Victoria and Lita will be the new Women's Champion. An angered Molly Holly attacked Victoria and WWE officials came out to the ring to restrain her and attempt to get her out of the ring as the fans rallied behind Lita.
Victoria got Lita on her back and went for a spinning slam but Lita countered it into a modified head scissors and then she pinned Victoria for a two count. Lita gave Victoria her version of the Twist of Fate and then she pinned Victoria again but only got a two count.
Lita gave Victoria a drop toe hold to send her into the bottom rope, neck first and then Lita gave Victoria a spinning back suplex and then she went to the top rope for the moonsault but Victoria popped up and gave Lita the Widow's Peak.
Then she pinned Lita for the three count to win the Women's Title!
Victoria celebrated her title win in the ring and Stevie Richards stormed to the ring to celebrate with her.
A limo was shown pulling up to the arena and Vince McMahon stepped out of the limo and he asked the driver to get the wrestling gear out of the trunk and bring it to his office. McMahon then went on his way and later tonight, he's expected to make a blockbuster announcement in regards to Wrestlemania XX and at the same time, he's out to kick Eric Bischoff's ass!
Eric Bischoff was shown backstage in his office and The Coach entered the room and asked him if he knows Mr. McMahon is here? Eric said that he knows that. Maybe Coach needs to set off a signal fire or something? Christian knocked on the door and entered, asking Eric if he knows Mr. McMahon is here? Anyway, Christian heard Eric wants to see him. Christian knows Chris Jericho is out with a knee injury but he's a quick healer. So how about this, Christian and Chris Jericho vs. the Tag Team Champions at Wrestlemania? Eric said that he appreciates friendship but Chris Jericho is no friend of his. Never has been, never will be. He didn't appreciate the fact that Chris walked out on him in WCW and he sure as hell doesn't appreciate him now. Eric hopes Chris Jericho is watching because tonight, Christian is going to have a match against Chris Jericho's other best buddy and that's Christian vs. Trish Stratus! Christian didn't seem to like that one bit but he'll be forced into that match, tonight! Non Title Match - Val Venis vs. Randy Orton
Randy Orton's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the Intercontinental Champion and as he stood on the ropes displaying the Intercontinental Championship, they showed us footage from last week when Mick Foley was brutally beaten down by Randy Orton and the rest of Evolution. Jim Ross noted that he had the opportunity to talk to Mick this weekend and we'll see that interview later tonight. Ross put that interview over as one of the most shocking interviews he's ever conducted with anybody, especially Mick Foley. Val Venis made his way out to the ring as the opponent of Randy Orton in this Non Title Match.
Val went to lock it up with Randy but Randy ducked under it and gave Val a shot to the mid section and then he backed him into the corner and kicked away on him and then choked him with his boot.
As the match was going on, the fans heavily chanted "Foley, Foley!" as Orton dominated Val Venis. Randy Orton put Val Venis in a bow and arrow in an attempt to force him to tap out but Val refused to do so and Orton's shoulders were down on the mat so the referee counted a two count in favor of Val Venis but Orton was able to kick out of it.
Randy Orton irritated the crowd by putting his fingers in the sign of pistols and then he said "bang, bang," reminiscent of Cactus Jack.
Val Venis gave Randy Orton his version of the Rock Bottom and Jim Ross actually referred to it as the urange. Val then pinned Orton but only got a two count.
Val Venis gave Randy Orton a spinebuster slam and then he struggled to get to the top rope for the money shot but Randy Orton got up and pressed Val Venis from the top rope down to the mat.
Val went for an abdominal stretch but Randy shoved Val into the ropes and then Randy planted Val Venis with the RKO and then he pinned him for the three count to pick up the win.
Footage from the Monday Night WAR DVD was shown when Eric Bischoff challenged Vince McMahon in 1998. Eric Bischoff was shown backstage live and he asked, who in the hell told them to play that? If he finds out... Stone Cold showed up and said that he's the one who said to play that video. Austin thought that Bischoff was tremendous. What is he so nervous about? Austin reminded Bischoff of last week when he talked trash on McMahon, saying Bischoff has the karate thing going on. He's got the age, the martial arts background and a ton of guts. Look at it this way. Austin is the only man he knows that's made out with Vince's wife, his daughter and he's still here to live and tell about it and not only is he here to live and tell about it, the man is still signing his paychecks? Eric laughed, saying Austin has a point. He has to be wondering what's going on. Vince is paying Eric to live his fantasy. He did make out with Stephanie and Linda and he has this other fantasy and that starts out in Stamford and it involves Stephanie. Eric stopped because he found out McMahon was standing right behind him.
Vince said that some people say the match between McMahon and Bischoff is nothing but a fantasy and after he makes his announcement tonight, it's not just going to be a fantasy, it's going to be a reality! Vince aggressively tapped Bischoff on the face and then left the room. After Vince left, Austin said "face it kid, you got him right where you want him!"
Batista was shown backstage and Ric Flair and Randy Orton were pumping him up for his match against Chris Benoit, tonight. Ric Flair said that Benoit has been a thorn in Evolution's side and tonight, he knows that Benoit will no longer run wild on RAW. Batista said that Benoit made a big mistake and he doesn't belong here. After tonight, he'll be begging to go back to Smackdown!. He stood in the way of Evolution and when Batista is done with him, he'll be lucky if he's standing at all! Orton and Flair told him to tear Benoit apart and Triple H showed up and said that he's got something to say and he's going to say it in the ring and he wants Evolution to hear this. Flair told the troops to follow the Champ.
Triple H's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the World Heavyweight Champion with Evolution following behind him. Triple H got in the ring and took the mic and said that last week, Stone Cold came out here and informed the world and informed him that for the first time at Wrestlemania, the World Title is going to be decided in a Triple Threat Match. It's going to be Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit. Triple H has to admit it; he freaked out and was pissed off. He was probably madder than he's ever been in his entire career until he had time to go back and think about it. And then he realized, what else should he expect? Isn't that what they always do? Stack the odds against him? It wasn't until Ric Flair pointed out to Triple H just who the hell he is. He pointed out to him that he is Triple H, the Game, and the World Heavyweight Champion. But hell, he's only human and sometimes he can even forget how great he actually is. Now is he happy? The fans chanted "You suck, you suck" and Triple H said that's the thing. No matter how great he knows he is, it must be killing the fans because he's put out opponent after opponent but yet, he stands here every week the World Heavyweight Champion! Now is he happy about the fact that he has to defend the World Title against two men in a Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania? No. Is he happy that he can lose the World Title without even getting beaten at Wrestlemania? No. But is this going to be the end of Triple H? Is this going to be the night that he falls? Is this going to be the night that they knock the king off his throne? Is this going to be the night that it's Game Over? No. Because this is Wrestlemania XX, the biggest event of them all. The biggest night in all of their lives and this will be the biggest night in his career because he will rise to the occasion like never before. He will go to Wrestlemania and against all odds, he will beat the Icon, the show stopper, the legend of Shawn Michaels. And he will beat the greatest technical wrestler alive today in Chris Benoit. And he will stamp his place in history at Wrestlemania when he proves to the world that he is everything that he says that he is. Because once again, he will prove just as he done over and over that he is the best wrestler in the world today, that he is the World Heavyweight Champion, that he is the Game and that he is that damn good!
Chris Benoit's music hit and he made his way down the ramp and he took a mic and said that the fact of the matter is that Triple H is the World Champion and to be able to call himself the World Champion, he has to be nothing but the absolute best and Benoit respects that. He likes to call himself the Game, hell, he even likes to say that he is the greatest World Champion alive today. Well since Benoit has come over to RAW, that's all he's heard from Triple H. It's a hell of a lot of talk and Chris Benoit is sick and damn well tired of listening to Triple H run his mouth. The time for talking is done.
Triple H responded by saying "really?" The time for talking is over. Chris Benoit likes to come across as a real tough guy but why doesn't he step in the ring and show them how tough he is? Triple H said that he thinks Benoit is a lot of talk and they're all standing right there and the fact is... Chris Benoit grabbed a steel chair and he got in the ring with it and Evolution backed off and then they spread around the ring to surround Chris Benoit. Chris got ready to hit Randy Orton with the steel chair but Batista nailed him from behind and then all four members of Evolution stomped Chris Benoit down in the ring until Shawn Michaels ran to the ring to make the save. Shawn Michaels used the steel chair to clear the ring of Orton and Batista as Benoit got Flair and Triple H out of the ring and then Chris Benoit put the Crippler Crossface on Shawn Michaels.
Stone Cold Steve Austin's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring as the Sheriff of RAW and he chased Ric Flair around the ring on the ATV. Chris Benoit vs. Batista
Stone Cold took the mic and said nobody enjoys a good fight more than Stone Cold Steve Austin but as sheriff, he's out here to enforce the law and the law states that there's supposed to be a match tonight, so before Evolution or anybody else decides to get back in that ring, we're going to have that match and that match is going to be Chris Benoit vs. Batista. Austin said that if anybody decides to get involved in this match, they will not make it to Wrestlemania XX. Not only is that the law, but that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so! After Stone Cold finished talking, Michaels and Benoit exchanged words and after the break, it'll be Chris Benoit against Batista!
After the commercial break, the match between Benoit and Batista was joined in progress with Benoit knocking Batista down to the mat and stomping away and working on his left leg.
Batista put Chris Benoit in a half crab in an attempt to force him to tap out but Benoit refused.
Batista then pulled Benoit off the mat by the leg and slammed him right back down to the mat and then pinned him for a two count.
Chris Benoit went for the Crossface on Batista but Batista over powered it and charged at Benoit in the corner but Benoit moved and Batista went crashing into the top turnbuckle.
Chris Benoit gave Batista a German suplex and then he thought about going to the top rope but Batista got up and Benoit went and gave him a series of German suplexes to leave him down on the mat. Chris Benoit then went to the top rope for the flying headbutt.
But Batista rolled out of the way and Benoit went crashing down to the mat.
Batista grabbed Chris Benoit and went for a power bomb.
But Chris Benoit countered it into the Crippler Crossface and Batista tapped out, giving Chris Benoit the victory!
Chris Benoit celebrated his win in the ring as Batista got out of the ring holding his arm. While celebrating, Benoit watched his back incase any other of Evolution hit the ring or even Shawn Michaels. Fortunately for Chris Benoit, no one came out to spoil his post match celebration. |

| Eric Bischoff was shown in his office and he was pacing back and forth and Stone Cold showed up and asked him to loosen up and try to relax? Eric said that he's going to go out there and get killed. Austin told him to look at him. What happened to the Eric Bischoff that lead Nitro to beat RAW for 83 weeks? What happened to him? He's not standing in front of Austin right now. The Eric Bischoff that used to lead Nitro was a leader, a visionary and he commanded respect. The man standing in front of Stone Cold is completely pathetic. Austin told Eric that he has three choices. One, he can walk out of this fight and Vince is going to fire him. Two, he can go through with this fight and he can lose and Vince McMahon is still going to fire him. Or three, he can go out there, don't worry about a damn thing, turn back into the Eric Bischoff that lead Nitro to beat RAW and be the leader he used to be and he goes out there like he did on Nitro vs. RAW, 83 weeks of victories. The bottom line is that he goes out there and whips that man's ass. The choice is up to Eric Bischoff. As far as Austin is concerned, it's a pretty damn easy choice. Austin said "Eye of the tiger, survive, kick ass!" After Austin left, Eric Bischoff seemed more determined to go out there tonight to face Vince.
