Gossip Primera Division 2006-2007

Vive Espana! Here we are.. lets visit Spain! The home of attractive football is played in this country. I love this league. Some of the games are the best to watch and lately even better Real Madrid havent been winning so it can only get better! With reports that say Spanish giants Real Madrid and Italian counterparts AC Milan will meet on Wednesday, to discuss a possible transfer of Brazilian striker Ronaldo...

What will happen to Real Madrid, can they impress with Ruud Van Nistlerooy up front, can he score 20 or 30 goals this season? Is it possible for them to be Champions and overtake Barca?

As for Barca, can they get any better, with stars like they have all over their team, its hard to see them not up at the top of the table at the end of the season.

What about the other teams like Sevilla, Atl Madrid, Valencia, what can they all achieve.. Everything will unfold in a few days Valencia will now miss Pires for 6 months.. He has a serious injury which he had before

Fixtures:

Athl Bilbao v Real Sociedad
Celta Vigo v Barcelona
Deportivo v Real Zaragoza
Espanyol v Gimnastic
Huelva v Mallorca
Osasuna v Getafe
R Santander v Atl Madrid
Real Madrid v Villarreal
Seville v Levante
Valencia v Real Betis

I'm so extremely looking forward to this season's Primera Division. It just can't get any better than this, OLÉ!

Barcelona are Champion of both Spain & Europe. Ronaldinho/Eto'o

I have never liked Real Madrid, as we all here don't seem to, lol. But with the change that has happend this summer, I'd like to see them doing well and put up a fantastic battle with Barca. Over the last seasons Real Madrid were 100% described as Galaticos. Emerson, Cannavaro & Van Nistelrooy however don't belong in that category, they seem like down-to-earth Football players.

And don't forget Robinho! Bye Bye Ronaldo!

Valencia look strong as well. Morientes, Tavano, Del Horno and now Joaquin. The Spanish international signs a 5-year contract and Real Betis get €25 million! And with some subtop teams performing well last season, like Osasuna, who knows how tight things will be.

I don't have much faith in the promoted teams though.

Sunday 27th August
Deportivo 3-2 Real Zaragoza
Real Madrid 0-0 Villarreal
Espanyol 0-1 Gimnastic
Osasuna 0-2 Getafe
Racing Santander 0-1 Atletico Madrid
Recreativo Huelva 1-1 Real Mallorca
Athletic 1-1 Real Sociedad

Real Madrid with a fantastic start.

David Beckham could be close to an extension of his contract, which ends in 2007, although a spokesman of Beckham says he isn't.

David Beckham signs a new contract for Real Madrid?

Monday 28th August
Celta 2-3 Barcelona

Only just!! Gudjohnsen provided the winner in the 87th minute, which was the same time Celta had a player sent-off. Penalty?

I'd say that was the case.

AC Milan are trying to get him to Italy for a long time now, not that it will make a difference. I don't see the Brazilian leaving Barca.

I'm curious to see if Ronaldo will stay with Real Madrid.

Tuesday 29th August
Sevilla 4-0 Levante

In the Bundesliga I predicted Nurnberg to do well and I predict Sevilla to do well in the Spanish Competition. I have seen the European Super Cup match last Friday and there were very good!
