Time for the Spanish league.. what does it hold for us? Will Barca carry on where they left off.. Can Real Madrid do anything better than last season? What about the other sides like Villarreal who did so well last season. I predict Sevilla will also do well

Valencia v Betis
Sevilla v Racing S
Cadiz v Real Madrid
Celta v Malaga
Espanyol v Getafe

Alaves v Barcelona
Mallorca v Deportivo
Atletico v Zaragoza

I notice that the big clubs around Europe all get 'easy' matches against clubs who just got promoted. I seriously see a conspiracy here.

Valencia - Real Betis Sevilla

I think Barcelona will perform very well again. And I have faith Rijkaard will slowly bring Lionel Messi. What we can expect from Real Madrid is a mystery so far. Villarreal could be in for another good year with Jan Kromkamp in their defense. Dutch pride!

I hope Villarreal end higher than Madrid and that Real won't end second ...

Results:

Celta Vigo 2-0 Malaga
Espanyol 0-2 Getafe
Mallorca 0-1 Deportivo
Osasuna 2-1 Villarreal
Sevilla 1-0 R Santander Thats my tip for this year Sevilla
Atl Madrid 0-0 Real Zaragoza

Real are leading 1-0 against Cadiz so far. Ronaldo scored. Though Forlan scored for Villarreal

Edit: Real beat Cadiz 2-1. Raul once again rescued the day.

Barcelona drawing, Villarreal & Espanyol lose, Spain has begun. And so has Diego Forlan.

I'm interested to see how Juanfran will do during his stay with Espanyol. I enjoyed watching him and Llorente (Athletic) during the WC Under 20 last summer.
