Default Pay-Per-View Proposal (Rumor)

Okay, my brother, who is an avid WWE fan, has just relayed this info to me.

Apparently, they're proposing to divide WWE's two largest brands RAW and SMACKDOWN even more than they are. Divide so much that they each get 5 Pay-Per-Views to showcase their talent. The remaining two Pay-Per-Views (presumably Wrestlemania and SummerSlam) will be shared by both brands.

The Pay-per-view events will alternate between brands.

--------------------

SWANY'S COMMENTS
==============

PROS - With so much talent in the WWE, this is a smart move, as more wrestlers get a chance to shine in the climatic spotlight.

- The buildup to the pay-per-views will be a lot longer, increasing the anticipation and making the payperviews more enjoyable. Storylines will be more developed, making the matches that much more satisfying/entertaining when they actually finally happen.

CONS - It'll take some time to adjust to the new formats.

- The luxury of seeing the industries finest in action in one night is stripped even further. Instead, we're degraded to seeing the brands finest all but two nights of the year.

I think it's a bad idea, but it looks like it's gonna happen. King Of The Ring is already the first victim. It will not be held this year, instead they have a new PPV called Bad Blood in it's place. If you go to the WWE website and look on the PPV calender page, what I just said is on the site.

I think it's a huge mistake. The roster split is bad enough but splitting the PPVs up? The WWE is already having bad ratings, this will officially kill the WWE. Vince didn't need to bring in the nWo as poison to kill the WWE, he did it himself with this stupid roster split bull sh!t

Hey copycat!

I already made a thread like this about a month ago or so

And yes, I still think it's a good idea ... both the shows definitely possess enough talent to fill a ppv and it would give them more changes to work the story lines out even better.

P.S.: As someone who was stripped from wrestling on tv for about 5 years now, I say "fuck ratings"

Theeeereeeesaaaaa!

*hugs* Hey, that's been a while ... (at least in a wrestling topic)

No, there won't be 2ppv's per month ... it would go like this:

12 ppv's a year
1 ppv per month
4 RAW ppv's
4 Smackdown ppv's
4 shared ppv's

(not the same as swany said, but then again what does he know? )

The 4 shared ppv's would be Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Survivor Series ...

If anything else is unclear Theresa, just let me know.

HEY, I was just posting what my brother told me. My brother neglected to mention that he heard it from my sisters boyfriend, who heard it at work. If he had mentioned that, this thread wouldn't exist because, well, my sisters boyfriend is a fuckin idiot. I swear to God he has a crush on the Rock. He claims to be a huge WWE fan, but he doesnt watch the shows. Doubtful that he's gonna tune in to Wrestlemania tomorrow.

Anyways, yeah, I still think the name "WWE Bad Blood" is one of the stupidest names for a PPV WWE has ever come up with.

I think the WWE should use some of the old WCW ppv names. Some of those names the WCW had ruled...Mayhem, Greed, Sin, Bash At The Beach, Halloween Havoc
