Maybe a Feyenoord and United in the 2nd round in 1 poule ?
Would be really nice

That depends if they still have a second group stage. The UEFA officials want to take away the 2nd group stage and just do a knockout round instead. It would still be nice to have a Holland .v. England tie in one of those rounds.

Also there is Newcastle .v. Feyenoord

Ron_Ganim - I'll be here on September 18th. I'm sure we will talk about it.

Newcastle - Feyenoord is already 1 United, maybe later the other.

I have also heard that indeed. But this season there will still be a 2nd round. What do you think of the 2nd round. Should it stay or should it be done away ?

you know what's funny? i talked with Andrew about it! and we made a bet that haifa will win the Austrian! he didn't agree with me! he said that haifa won't pass them (and i dont need to remind you that haifa isn't allowed to play in Israel! because all the political situation! so that means that haifa got this far without playing a single game at home!!!!)
so! haifa passed the Austrians though nobody thought they will! sooo! who knows! maybe at the 18 i will be happier than you....

I think having a second round of groups is ok. The advantages are lots of good football matches, and money for the clubs involved, but the disadvantage is that they play too many games and get tired. Which can be bad for league performances. Having a 2 legged match for the second round would be ok. It would still be exciting.

Ron - What Austrian club were you playing? Will you be in London when they play United?

BTW - You can call me Neil.
