Im anxious to see whether or not Israel will finally make it to win its first ever Golden medal! were leading the sailing tournament by one point! my fingers are crossed! Go Gal Freedman!

i've been pleasantly surprised (although i really am not caring at the moment) with SA's performance (excluding the hockey) - 4 medals so far, with maybe 1 or 2 more to come.

Now lets hope the man hockey team can get into the final aswell.

Another gold for GB yesterday evening! Kelly Holmes won it in the 800m. She had a fantastic race to come through and take the gold. Now she's running in the 1500m and has qualified from her heat in 1st place.

Olympic Football
Argentina are through to the men's final after beating Italy 3-0 earlier! This follows a 4-0 win in the Quarter-Finals and extends their record to 5 games unbeaten without conceding a goal! They're hot favourites for the gold medal. Paraguay look likely to face them. They're leading Iraq 2-0 at half-time.

In the women's game it's USA .v. Brazil in the final. The Americans defeated Germany 2-1 after etxra-time and Brazil beat Sweden by one goal to nil.

Israel won its first gold medal today when the surfer Gal Fridman got the second place in the last race which gave him the golden medal! congrats Gal! congrats Israel for marking this day in the history books
