I figured there must be quite a few baseball fans here too. I know of a couple, myself included. So if there's anything anybody wants to talk about, this is the place.

Current division and wild card leaders:

AL West: Seattle Mariners
AL Central: Minnesota Twins
AL East: Boston Red Sox
AL Wild Card: New York Yankees

NL West: San Francisco Giants
NL Central: Chicago Cubs
NL East: Atlanta Braves
NL Wild Card: Montreal Expos

Braves are on a complete tear ever since they hit that lowly 4-8 record or whatever it was early in the season. Hopefully they'll start losing a lot very soon. That would be great.

Yankees are slumping a bit. Guess it's time for George to trade everyone except for his pitchers and Jeter.

D'Backs could use all the help they can get. Their offense is pretty miserable, isn't it? And what happened to Johnson and Schilling? I haven't heard a thing about either of them this year. Do they suck this year or are they just simply mediocre?

Johnson has a hurt knee. Schilling was hurt a little bit but has pitched well his last 4 starts only giving up 6 runs but he is only 2-1 in those games. Their hitting hasnt been all that great this year but the Hillenbrand deal will be good for there offense.

My Twins are starting to playing like they should they are 8-2 in the last 10 and are 19-6 this month. they started the month out 4 games back of the Royals and now they are 4.5 games up on them and Chicago is 7.5 back and falling. This month they are a combined 10-4 against Oakland, Seattle, and Boston

Boston is not getting Mantei or Webb they are just getting Kim. If Mantei and Webb have bad injuries the deal will not be done because the Dbacks will be in trouble for pitchers

Pirates suck..just like every year. Although Kenny Lofton has a 25 game hitting streak.. WOOOHOOO!!!!! At least I have something to cheer about, until they trade him to the Phillies for some no-name prospects who won't make it.. Its pretty sad when your best player(Lofton) is 36 years old. (although Giles has been hurt, where he would be the best player).. Another under 500 club for us... Hooray....

As for the Cardinals, they are playing in quite a competitive division. But let's face it, if the bullpen didn't blow so much ass, they'd be sitting comfortably in first place by at least 5 games.

Last I heard, Cards were 2-12 in one-run-deficit games.

Vina and Edmonds on the DL. Izzy still out. Bad luck.

Morris and Williams: Excellent one-two punch. Rest of starters, mediocre at best.

I hope they get things heated up. They've been better lately. But they need to be a lot better.

Pirates taking 2 out of 3 against the Cards was nice. I was surprised..We got the Red Sox and Braves this week so it will be a tough week.

How Shea Hillenbrand rips his former team the Red Sox for having no veteran leadership and the veterans don't encourage the young guys.. Sounds a little bitter to me..
