Van Der Sar and Dudek are good keepers indeed, but why do you think the little Dutch teams can´t keep them ?

And I agree with the internation keepers thing, but it isn´t that easy to have a good keeper for little clubs. I guess that is the same with Belgian clubs.

Kralj hasn't keeped much yeah ... and that's a pity, they bought him as a substitute ... bad idea, he's a very talented keeper, in my opinion better than Waterreus ... their loss ...

I know Dutch teams can't compete with Italian, English, German, French, Spanish teams when it comes to transfer fees and salaries (Belgium can't even compete with the Netherlands on that subject )
That's not what I meant, I meant to say that, they never really searched for new, good foreign keepers ...

Ajax for example ... after the transfer of Edwin, they were left with Nelis and Grim, two good goalkeepers, but nothing spectacular ... then during the next two seasons, they switched goalkeepers all the time ... they bought two new youngsters ... Lobont (not even 20 yet) and Bram Verbist (Belgian, 18 - who they already send to GBA on a loan this season ... )

Actually here in Belgium, we have very good goalkeepers ... of course the best only stay for a few seasons before being transferred to bigger European clubs ...

Examples:

Standard used to have Vedran Runje for 2 seasons, an exellent goalkeeper, he's now the absolute #1 and fan favorite in Marseille ...

Zitka, a very good goalkeeper, International, 25 years young

Deelkens & Schollen ... two young Belgian goalkeepers, they are named for the national team within 5-7 years if they keep improving ...

Carini, International #1 of Urugay, recently signed with Standard

De Wilde (Anderlecht) & Verlinden (Brugge), two ex-internationals, both nearly 40 years ... but still at the top of their game, they are both the undisputed #1 at their club (the two biggest club in Belgium that is then)

Dabanovic, international keeper, excellent ... incredible actually how Lokeren manages to keep him, he started his 4th season with them now ... he must love the life here in Belgium, cause he already got many offers ...

Default Tonights Fixtures.

Here are this evenings matches:

GROUP A
Arsenal .v. Dortmund
Auxerre .v. PSV Eindhoven

I think that Arsenal should be able to beat Dortmund tonight and that the other game will end in a draw.

GROUP B
Basel .v. Spartak Moscow
Valencia .v. Liverpool

I have a feeling that Basel will be good enough to beat Moscow by the odd goal and that Valencia will be held by Liverpool.

GROUP C
RC Genk .v. AEK Athens
Roma .v. Real Madrid

Genk .v. Athens has draw written all over it and so does the Roma Madrid game, but I think Roma .v. Madrid will be the better game.

GROUP D
Ajax .v. Lyon
Rosenborg .v. Inter Milan

I think Ajax will have a comfortable home win and Milan will steal three points from Rosenborg.

GROUP A
Arsenal .v. Dortmund
Auxerre .v. PSV Eindhoven

Arsenal and Dortmund will probably draw, would be a very good result for the Germans.

I see PSV getting a small victory

GROUP B
Basel .v. Spartak Moscow
Valencia .v. Liverpool

Moscow will win it, small victory.

Tough call, could go either way. I'll saw small victory for Valencia.

GROUP C
RC Genk .v. AEK Athens
Roma .v. Real Madrid

I'll be optimistic and I'll go for a Genk victory. They are very strong at home.

A draw would be the best of course (for Genk) but I think Real will win it, Roma is still searching for the right players on the right positions (quite normal, Serie A just started)

GROUP D
Ajax .v. Lyon
Rosenborg .v. Inter Milan

Ajax won't have it easy, Lyon is a very tough, solid team to play against. But Lyon isn't as good in away games than at home ... so Ajax

Inter will win it easily, probably with 1-0, goal scored after 20 minutes or something and then they'll completely control the rest of the match ...

That is very true, no one in the Premiership is in any kind of good form at the moment.

Dortmund are 7th in the Bundesliga at the moment, they have won 1 game and drawn 4, so they are yet to lose.

Defence is excellent, midfield works hard ... it's just, they miss Amoroso badly in front and Koller can't do it all on his own, he doesn't get enough support from team mates ... so they have it difficult to score ... but it's also difficult to score against them
