No it did happen. Lita and Kane were both faces at the time and had JUST joined up after such a LONG storyline, and Trish was the heel there. Now they made Lita heel, and the WWE has no woman's champ anymore. I don't think that was the plan exactly. I mean it doesn't look convincing to see Lita and Snitsky on the same side.
I think in real life, Matt is already over it. I mean, during his rant he talked about how his dream of one day having children went up in smoke because of Edge. That's kind of over the top if you ask me. Lita isn't exactly the only woman on the planet. It's true, that's how you feel when you JUST find out, but there's too much time in between the event and right now for Matt to still feel that way.
Perhaps the real story is that Edge and Matt are actually friends, and Edge just did this in co-operation with Matt to find out how loyal Lita really is. We don't know what kind of history she has with previous boyfriends and such.
Either way, if Matt hated Edge as much as he shows on TV, then they wouldn't be able to work a match together. WWE's priority number one is to prevent wrestlers from injuring eachother. We know this seeing as they banned moves like the Steiner Recliner.
So I think it's safe to assume that Matt doesn't want to bash Edge's brains in anymore. |
