Default Ligue 1 2006-2007 (French Competition)

BONJOUR!

Where's Olympique Lyon? At the top! I know it sounds pathetic, but I'm afraid Lyon will grab the French title again. Their team isnt any weaker compared to last season, on the contrary. Just like last season though, we'll be having many other teams that will try to accomplish something in France or otherwise end behind Lyonnais. Bordeaux, Lens, Lille, PSG, Marseille, Auxerre?

If you decide to participate in a PL of the French Competition, make sure you fill in some draws each matchday, 'cause that's one of the things it's known for. Plus, France is one of the last countries that doesn't have a match-fixing scandal! Yet!

Valenciennes (including Feyenoord-player Paauwe), Sedan & Lorient are the 3 teams which are promoted to the Ligue 1. Do they have a chance to survive? Why not!? Troyes, Le Mans & Nancy survived as well. And Nancy even managed to qualify for the UEFA Cup.

Friday 4th August
Nantes - Lyon

Saturday 5th August
Stade Rennes - Lille
Auxerre - Valenciennes
Bordeaux - Toulouse
PSG - Lorient
St-Etienne - Sochaux
Nancy - Monaco
Lens - Troyes
Le Mans - Nice

Sunday 6th August
Sedan - Marseille

Match of the week is Stade Rennes vs Lille, #7 against #3 of last season. Though there was only a gap of 3 points.

French Super Cup
Lyon 1-1 PSG

Lyon win 5-4 on penalties ... with a B-squad!

The Ligue 1 2006/2007 (+ Coupe de la Ligue & Coupe de France) thread is now open for dicussion!

Bonjour! I of course will be going for PSG. A bit of a hopeless case once again but Lyon are too strong for anyone else I think!

But there has to come an end to Lyon's Champions run once, right?

Despite the fact they're ruling over France, I'm supporting Lyon. Their squad is one of the most talented in Europe.

I haven't. That's probably the reason why the French PL was my worst of 2005/2006.

No dessert?! We can't have that ... I'd like a chocolate dessert in May 2007.

I know many people who like chocolate. That makes me wonder (don't know why though, maybe 'cause I'm a little bored ), why's chocolate so popular? And can you have chocolate as an addiction?

The French Competition hasn't even started yet or we're already going off-topic, lol.

Then you'd best be predicting plenty of draws!

I believe you can have chocolate as an addiction. Most probably because it is damn tasty!

Lyon will win the title and there will be many draws.. I expect we'd go off-topic a bit anyway.
