| Kurt Angle presents "Red, White and Bruised" live in St. Louis (6/13/04) | | The following has been copied and pasted from my Livejournal because I do not have the energy or patience to type up an original thread with a new description of today's show. Thank you. Wow, if this wasn't just the coolest fucking day (wrestling wise) ever. Josh, Mitchell, Sarah, Mitchell's mom, and I went to the WWE house show today presented by Smackdown!. It was really cool. We had fourth row seats and it turns out we were right by the entrance ramp. We had no idea.
Mitchell went there dressed as Undertaker and I went dressed as John Bradshaw Layfield. I know, we are HUGE dorks. Who cares anyway? It was fun and we got a lot of compliments on our stuff, especially from superstars as they were entering the ring. Billy Kidman, John Cena, Torrie Wilson and Bradshaw specifically made reference to my outfit. Cena got a huge kick out of it and slapped my hand. Bradshaw, understandably, was especially moved and came up to me and shook my hand and told me, "you're a great American." After he lost his match, he told me, "you should've helped me." Torrie Wilson simply said, "I like your hat." Good enough for me.
I slapped hands with Billy Kidman, Paul London, Rico, Miss Jackie (twice), Torrie Wilson, John Cena, and John Bradshaw Layfield. Can't remember if I left anyone out. I wish I had a bunch of pictures. But I used my digital camera to take little video clips of the action and entrances. Mitchell and Josh took all the photos. So I'll pay them for doubles.
This is a highly abbreviated account of what happened. I just don't have the energy to explain every single detail. But I have determined that it has been the greatest wrestling show I've been too. Yes, even better than when we were in the first row.
Here is the one picture I do have from the show. Josh, Mitchell as Undertaker, and me as JBL (left to right) |
