A lot of people have speculated that for a brief time, Kane was played by someone else. Seeing as I've never wrestle seen him during the period of 2002, I myself can't be sure. According to records, it was him, though from pictures of that period it's still hard to tell.

One thing I am sure of is that Kane has been played by Glen Jacobs for most of the time.

I've actually seen one of his matches from there on TV many years back. He played a sort Sid Viscious character.


Isaac Yankem DDS:



The dentist gimmick. I've never seen it on TV myself, but we recognize him, don't we?


The Fake Diesel:



He actually looks a bit like Nash in the last picture. Though his upper body is significantly bigger. Anybody know who played the fake Razor here?


Kane:



No doubt that is him. Same body, same walk, same cool presence.


New Kane:



Yep, that's him! Unfortunately I haven't seen a lot of this period. Midway Invasion angle, I lost the channel it was on.


Kane 2002:





Is it me, or is Kane significantly thinner than how we remember him? He almost looks like Steven Richards in the first pic! He does however, seem to have the same shape of ears.

I remember the night Kane unmasked. I legitimately thought there was a new person playing the character. But now I don't know if I'll ever be sure. The Kane that came back in 2002 and went on to become a goofy, Freak-a-Roonie Kane for a year seemed much thinner than the Kane before and after that time. Not only that, but the voices are far different. He went from mute, to voice box, to normal voice tone, to loud whispers followed by evil laughing.

Also, the night he unmasked, it really looked like he had put on 10 or 20 pounds since the previous Monday.

So the pictures aren't all that deceiving at all then... Perhaps they really did use someone else to play Kane during 2002 where he did a Spin-a-roonie (last picture). Look at how thin his leg is there! I never saw him do that either. Perhaps it is for the best.
