As i said in the 'favourite wrestler of all time' thread, HBK is my favourite wrestler ever. but i have no idea what the hell the WWF is doing with him. I know he is still under contract to them and even though he hasn't wrestled for a few years i'm sure they can find an interesting role for one of if not THE greatest sports entertainer of all time. i remember he was on Excess a few weeks ago and i was hoping i would find out a bit more info on his status in the WWF, but NO. and at the end of the interview Coach said something like "i don't know when but i'm sure we'll see you around the WWF", and Shawn said "i don't know when either", WTF!!!. he is under contract to the WWF and they dont even have work for him, WHAT?!?. Now don't get me wrong i like Ric Flair and he is a legend but Shawn could have done the joint-owner story or something similar just as well.
One thing that i heard last year was that HBK was going to be heavily envolved in the main event @ Wrestlemania between Austin and The Rock, but when he showed up backstage at the Smackdown before Wrestlemania to set up the story for Wrestlemania he was kept waiting in his locker room by J.R. and Vince and he fell asleep, so when they walked in and saw him asleep they assumed he wasn't in any condition to come back to work so they called off the Wrestlemania story, which would explain why the Vince and Austin story looked so sloppily put together, if u watch that main event again, it is pretty obvious that the end of that match was not very well planned and this could be the reason why. since mid last year when this happenned apparently Shawn and the WWF have barely spoke and Shawn is just spending all his time at home with his wife and kid, and doing the occasional promotional autograph signing.
WTF!!!! how the hell can u punish someone for falling asleep, LOL.
another thing i would like to bring up is HBK's physical condition...does anybody know if he will ever be able to return to in ring action, i have heard SO MANY rumours about his health that i dont know which to believe...but last year i heard about a rumour that was apparently 99% confirmed, and that was that he was gonna return to the ring very soon, but he wouldnt be as high flying as he once was. but as we found out this appears not to be true. i also heard that he had officially retired from wrestling because he didnt want to risk permanant paralysis.
does anybody know the truth or have any clue WTF the WWF is thinking leaving a legend like HBK on the sidelines?????? |
