Here is a little news on McGinley.

Paul McGinley staged a remarkable third round comeback on Saturday to keep both his Irish Open and Ryder Cup hopes alive.

Australia's Peter Lonard goes into Sunday's final round with a one-shot lead over countryman Brett Rumford, but it was McGinley who stole the headlines by storming back from 67th position overnight to a share of fourth place, four shots behind the leader.

McGinley fired a six under par 66 and then watched as his rivals faltered in the County Louth wind.

"I've been feeling for the last month that my game is as good as it's ever been and I haven't been converting the chances," said McGinley who was Europe's match-winner in the Ryder Cup at The Belfry two years ago.

"I've had a lull, but everybody goes through patches like that and today hopefully is the start of a run in the other direction."

McGinley is currently 17th in the Ryder Cup points race, but most of those immediately ahead of him are either taking a week off or missed the cut here.

Interesting article:

Graham Marsh made history at the Senior British Open on Saturday by becoming the first player to fire two aces at the same hole in a tournament.

The Australian holed in one at the par three 11th for the second time in three days at Royal Portrush.

He used a nine iron at the 170-yard hole in the first round and an eight iron in Saturday's third round.

His feat earned him 340 bottles of wine and moved him to five over for the championship, seven shots off the lead.

Marsh's achievement has never been done before on the European Tour, the US PGA Tour, the European Seniors Tour or the US Champions Tour.

I am so angry, They started to play the anthems yesterday for the European teams and they played the german one in german, french one in french and then the Irish one... in English. It should NEVER be sung in English, it should be in Irish. Theres world war going on here over it, whoever decided that, you are so wrong.
