| why do almost all ferarri/Schumi fans (that includes you ) say that they want more competition, they want the other teams to be better but at the same time they still want Schumi to be better than last time, which is actualyl better than ever, which means he ha sto win even more often than last year. Most also say as long as he has to fight for his ictiries it's fine butt in fact does that change anything. He will stll win all teh time and i seriously doubt that people will start watching F1 again just cuz of that.
That is realyl a serious problem peopel shouldnt underestimate. Sponsors leave F1 because peopel just give up watching it due to certain well-known reasons. ---> Vicious Circle |

| I know what you mean, I would like Schumi to continue winning but at what cost.. I wouldnt mind if Schumi lost if there were more competition but if I am honest I would like more competition and more teams to work closer and then Schumacher to win.. prob makes no sense.. |

| New Toyota driver Olivier Panis insists the overhaul of Formula One will not make life easier for world champion Michael Schumacher next season.
Last month F1 bosses unveiled a string of changes to the sport, including a one-off qualifying lap.
While Schumacher warned the shake-up would help his cause, Panis expects a different outcome.
The Frenchman said: "I don't know why people say the rule will benefit only Michael.
"We have a lot of drivers who are good in qualifying and a lot of drivers who can be quick on their first lap. What we need to fight Michael is to have better cars.
"We needed to change something and I feel very positive about the new qualifying rule.
"At times we will have a different grid, so for the show I think it will be very good."
The main reason for the latest F1 changes is to avoid a repeat of last season when Schumacher won 11 of the 15 races and Ferrari dominated from start to finish.
Among other alterations to 2002, the top eight, as opposed to six, drivers will now be awarded points in each Grand Prix.
And Panis, who has moved from British American Racing to Toyota, said it would help the likes of his Japanese employers.
Panis added: "It will be fairer for everybody, especially the smaller teams."
The 36-year-old will team up with Cristiano da Matta next season and is confident the pair can make an impact in 2003.
"I think F1 has been a big shock to Cristiano," said Panis. "But he is obviously a quick learner as you can see by his times.
"I am really positive about the team, although I know we have a lot to learn. The team will make a big step forward next year." |

| Three-time Formula One champion Jackie Stewart said today that he was convinced the operation he underwent to have a pre-cancerous tumour removed from his cheek had been a total success.
"The specialists are convinced they have totally removed the growth and I am confident that everything is alright," said Stewart, who underwent the surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, USA, earlier this month.
News of the operation only became known after Stewart, with a visible scar on his cheek, attended a media conference to announce the dismissal of Niki Lauda as team principal of Jaguar Racing last Monday. Stewart retired as chairman and chief executive of Jaguar in 2000 but still has close links with the team. |

| Formula One team British American Racing have handed Kosuke Matsuura a test next month after the Japanese driver finished runner-up in last season's German Formula 3 Championship.
The 23-year-old, who is a graduate of Honda's driver development programme that brought Jordan's Takuma Sato into F1, will test in Jerez, Spain, on December 15. |

| I think Schumacher won't find it easy at all next season. The new rules will deifinitely have an effect and other teams will be trying desperately to catch up. I'd like to see Montoya take his crown. |
