Saturday Practice:
1. J.Button. 1:31.857
2. M.Schumacher. 1:31.868
3. F.Alonso. 1:31.975
4. G.Fisichella. 1:32.050

It was predicted to be close!

Raikkonen managed to run 8th fastest, Montoya only 15th.. Toyota has a better practice session - Trulli was 7th and R.Schumacher was 9th. Liuzzi was down in 19th this time, instead of in the top 5 drivers.

The first 15 minute session is over!

17. R.Schumacher
18. C.Albers
19. T.Monteiro
20. Y.Ider
21. T.Sato
22. K.Raikkonen

Raikkonen had a suspension failure under breaking, and so has to start from the back of the grid. This happened with 4:34 left and brought out a red flag, which left us with 19 cars going out on track at the same time when the session restarted! R.Schumacher simply didn't put in a fast enough lap.

Can Liuzzi or Speed make it through to the final session!?

The second 15 minute session is over:

11. J.Villeneuve
12. N.Rosberg
13. D.Coulthard
14. J.Trulli
15. V.Liuzzi
16. S.Speed

Rosberg didn't make the top 10 in his first F1 GP, but he is a name for the future.

Toyota - a disappointing session..

Liuzzi and Speed will be happy with 15th & 16th, but it would have been fantastic if one of them had made it into the top 10.

Qualifying is over!

1. M.Schumacher. 1:31.431
2. F.Massa. 1:31.478
3. J.Button. 1:31.549
4. F.Alonso. 1:31.702
5. J.P.Montoya. 1:32.164
6. R.Barrichello. 1:32.579
7. M.Webber. 1:33.006
8. C.Klien. 1:33.112
9. G.Fisichella. 1:33.496
10. N.Heidfeld. 1:33.926

Its not surprising to see M.Schumacher pip himself into pole position, seeing as Ferrari have done a vast amount of pre-season testing in Bahrain. However; Massa, Button and Alonso are right behind him and all have a good chance of winning the race. Its also thought that Renault have put a bit more fuel in. Montoya has shown what the new McLaren can do, although its not on pole - something I didn't expect to happen anyway.

Prediction League
Pole - M.Schumacher

Points Gained -

Gert-Jan - 0
Neil - 3

Total Points After Qualifying
1. Neil. 3.
2. Gert-Jan. 0.
=. Lizzy. 0.

Go Lizzy! Do we have to give you a 50-points start or something?

Congrats Neil on the good start! Hopefully we'll get to see a good race tomorrow.
