If Hoddle gets Wolves into the Premiership, no one will complain about him anymore. I say give the man a chance, lets see how he can do. It can't get much worse for Wolves anyway.

Friday 10th December
West Ham Utd .v. Leeds United (This feels like a match that should be in the Premiership!)

Saturday 11th December
Burnley .v. Preston
Cardiff City .v. Sunderland
Crewe Alex .v. Plymouth Arg
Derby County .v. Nottingham Forest
Leicester City .v. Reading
Millwall .v. Brighton
QPR .v. Ipswich Town
Rotherham Utd .v. Sheffield Utd
Stoke City .v. Coventry City
Watford .v. Wolves
Wigan Ath .v. Gillingham

Who will lead at the half-way point .. Wigan or Ipswich? My money would be on Wigan. Their confidence must be high after a 5-0 thrashing of Preston. Gillingham aren't exactly a hard team to beat either. Ipswich could find it tough away at QPR.

Sunderland and Reading will be keen to get back to winning ways, but I feel both have tricky matches. Sheffield United might end the weekend in the top 6. They've been consistantly just outside for about a month. It may be only a metter of time before they move up a few places.

I think the QPR v Ipswich game should be interesting. I think Wigan will carry on their form, I am looking forward to the Ipswich and Wigan game over the Christmas period, lots of goals there!

Friday 10th December
West Ham Utd 1-1 Leeds United

West Ham had the lead after 50 minutes through Chadwick, but Leeds equalised in injury-time with a penalty from Healy. Cruel for West Ham - another disappointing result for them, but for Leeds it's another push in the right direction.

Wigan - Ipswich over Christmas .. maybe 4-3!

It leaves the door open for Sheffield United to move up - but that's only it they win by 4 goals! Unlikely, but not impossible considering their opponents.

I cant see that happening, if West Ham want to get promoted, they wont do it this way.

Saturday 11th December
Burnley 2-0 Preston
Cardiff City 0-2 Sunderland
Crewe Alex 3-0 Plymouth Arg
Derby County 3-0 Nottingham Forest
Leicester City 0-2 Reading
Millwall 2-0 Brighton
QPR 2-4 Ipswich Town
Stoke City 2-1 Coventry City
Watford 1-1 Wolves
Wigan Ath 2-0 Gillingham

At the half-way point of this season's Division 1, Ipswich and Wigan are seperated by a point. I think Ipswich did very well to come back from 2-1 down at QPR, to win 4-2! If Ipswich don't go up this season, I'll be surprised. Wigan look like they can do it too, but they had to wait until the 88th minute before the game was safe today. Sunderland and Reading are keeping in touch with the top 2 with good wins of their own. QPR and West Ham are being drawn down towards the teams sniffing around for a play-off place. Sheffield United play later for a bid to go 5th. Millwall, Stoke, Derby, Burnley and Crewe are all moving close to the top 6.

No change at all in the bottom 6..

I would be surprised also, they are in great form, looks like their new signing Currie was worth it, scoring on his debut! Wigans first goal was great, they are consistant and a brilliant team.

From last weekend:

Rotherham Utd 2-2 Sheffield Utd - Moves Sheffield into the top 6

Friday 17th December
Brighton .v. Stoke City
Nottingham Forest .v. Leicester City

Saturday 18th December
Coventry City .v. Watford
Gillingham .v. Rotherham Utd - BIG Relegation clash
Plymouth Arg .v. Derby County
Preston .v. West Ham Utd
Reading .v. QPR - I predict Reading to come out on top, 2-1
Sheffield Utd .v. Cardiff City - Sheffield to keep their top 6 place and close in on West Ham
Sunderland .v. Burnley
Wolves .v. Crewe Alex

Sunday 19th December
Leeds United .v. Millwall - Make or break for Leeds this season. Millwall are the type of team they'll be hoping to beat at home to keep play-off hopes alive

Tuesday 21st December
Ipswich Town .v. Wigan Ath - Are we going to have a 4-3 classic? or an average 1-0?

That Ipswich and Wigan game on Tuesday will be an amazing game I think. Home advantage could be the vital clue.
