I agree with Rooney being charged but the Bolton player. Thats just stupid.

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney has been charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after clashing with Bolton's Tal Ben Haim.

Ben Haim has been charged with improper conduct over the same incident, which occurred during the game between the two sides on 26 December.

So you think it's ok for players to fall down to the ground and act more injured/hurt than they really are? I find that kind of behaviour disgraceful. Regardless of whether a player is hit or not, to go down and simulate that the incident was worse than it is is awful.

Well I find diving just as bad, its all unsporting behaviour, if the Bolton players gets charged, I am afraid Ronaldo should be charged every week.

Okay he went down a bit easy but he was still hit, in my book, there is no charge and he didnt do anything wrong.

I said he went down, he was hit, diving is a different matter. Anyway alls well that ends well.. Rooney is banned:

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been banned for three matches after admitting a charge of violent conduct.

The ban will start immediately, a Football Association spokesman said on Thursday, meaning the 19-year-old England international misses United's next two league matches against Middlesbrough and Tottenham and their FA Cup tie against Exeter.

Yes, a lot of players dive often and don't recieve any kind of warning or punishment. I think that's sloppy of the referees and the FA. Vieira should have been sent-off against Liverpool for blatant diving. That would have helped somewhat towards cutting it out of the game.

If a player goes down, diving or not, to simulate more injury than he really has, then all he's trying to do is get the other player booked or sent-off. Regardless of what the other player has done, it's totally unaccaptable. The Bolton player should get just as long a ban as Rooney. Maybe it'll knock some sense into the heads of other players in the Premiership.

I am sorry but that really is a joke. Rooney was the one going around attempting to punch him. Rooney is a thug. he deserves it.
