| The End of an Era: Exit Smackdown!, Enter Velocity! | | I was watching Excess last night and I saw the commercial for the newest series in WWE television. On Excess, it was explained that Velocity is a new show that will premiere next Saturday containing original matches featuring superstars of the Smackdown! brand. What I take this to mean is that Smackdown! has been taken from UPN on Thursdays, changed to Velocity and moved to TNN on Saturdays. Also, this may mean an all-new set and look for this new show. A new stage and a new color (green).
As a result of the time slot for this show, the Excess series is done for. Last night was the final episode.
I think this is a great move on the WWE's part. Finally, I can see the other brand's show in it's entirety now that it's on TNN instead of UPN. I no longer have to settle for highlights that have been shortened and simple explanations from Cole and Lloyd when I would much rather SEE all the backstage occurences.
What do the rest of you think about this move by the WWE? |

| I don't like the new name. I think every once in a while, you need a change, and I like the name Velocity better. So there. |

| But wait a second. Isn't Metal a Heat-type show featuring Smackdown! superstars? It's on Saturday afternoons here. And where did you get your information about the show, KB? |

| I think they're just renaming the Saturday show again. Saturday first had "Shotgun Saturday night", then "Metal", and now it's been changed again to "Velocity". |
