Big Grin EA Premiership Season 2004-2005!!

It returns for an exciting new season .. the EA Premiership Season 2004-2005! The 4th one now! (well, the 1st was a very shortened version )

Most members know the points system we use now, but I'll put it up as always for any new members. This season I'll be making no changes to the main system, or the bonus points scoring .. 'if it's not broken, don't fix it.'

Quote:
Points System
Guessing the correct score of one team = 1 point.
Guessing the correct winner of the match = 2 points.
Guessing the correct winner and one teams score = 3 points.
Guessing the correct winner and both teams scores = 4 points.
Guessing a draw correctly = 1 point.
Guessing a draw correctly and the right score = 2 points.
Guessing the loser as the winner, and vice versa = -1 point.
Bonus Points
Correctly predicting 5 games in one matchday (Note 1) will reward you with 10 bonus points!

6 Games = 12 points, 7 = 14, 8 = 16, 9 = 18 and 10 = 20.

Note 1: One matchday is defined as 10 Premiership games which take place over a period of a few days. If a person was to miss a few games, catch-ups won't be included in the bonus points. In other words, you can't gain bonus points through catch-ups.

In addition to the 380 Premiership fixtures, we'll again be predicting from the FA Cup and Carling Cup. I'll start with selected fixtures (Note 2) from the Carling Cup 3rd and 4th rounds; then use every match from the Quarter's, Semi's and the Final. With the FA Cup - selected fixtures from the 3rd, 4th & 5th rounds; followed by all Quarter's, Semi's and the Final.
As for posting the fixtures, I'll post them in the thread a week (or so) before the matches are due to take place (as usual). However, like at the end of last season, I'll keep a list of all matches to predict from the month ahead in this post. This is so anyone that is going on holiday, or won't be around for a while, can look ahead and predict the matches they know they're likely to miss.

Note 2: These selected fixtures will only be matches that include Premiership teams. I'll incude the divisions and positions of any non-Premiership teams involved in the cup games we predict.

Very few rules as usual. Post your predictions in this thread (and only this thread .. but if you should have problems getting on the board, but can access e-mails .. then e-mail your predictions to my Nowwatchme@hotmail.com account, with the title 'Predictions' (or something like that)) I won't bite if you post your predictions a few minutes late, lol. Any catch-ups can be made using European Leagues, or the UEFA Cup .. or even World Cup Qualifiers (if we're thet desperate. ) .. but now catch-ups will only be available if you were ill or had internet problems.

Hopefully we'll have lots of people taking part this season. Good luck and have fun to anyone who decides to take part.

*raises hand*

I also want to participate again!

I'm ready.

I do hope the amount of catch-ups isn't as big as last season. I feel bad for Neil he has to keep up with it all and do extra work.

Glad to see you joining in again, Gert-Jan.

The catch-ups aren't that hard to organise really, so it isn't much of a bother .. but it would be nice to have everyone able to predict all the same games.

Our defending champion won't be returning to defend his title this season! John also won't be participating in the CL Predictions. Sad, but true.

So, that's 5 of us definitely taking part so far. *hopes for a few more*
