Lmao, I imagine those two would get on quite well!

Back to Howard, he was impressive for the most part yesterday. We can't really say whether he's better than Barthez or not yet seeing as he's only played a few matches, all of which have been friendlies. A month or so into the season we'll be getting a good idea of just how good he can play if he starts matches regularly.

If that's not a comment then what is it.

Well, for Arsenal fans the first half was the better half. They played better then, but were outplayed by United at most times in the second half .... and of course there was the Jeffers incident.

It's a good parameter though ... it's one week before the start of the competition. If a team, at that time, still has to find good form playing together well then that's not the best sign, 'big important game' or not ...

First of all, Welcome Back Chris. I think Howard will prove himself this season.

Well Barthez has cost us valuable points at times, he punches a bit too much, I do like him but he is not the man Schmeichel was!

Barthez has the skills to become one of the very best of the world. The only thing holding him back over the years are his regular mistakes he makes, which cost his team valuable points ... he only makes these mistakes cause most of the times he wants to do something with too much class and flair ... he wants to sell too much show at certain times and in certain situations ... and it backfires on him.
