Default Bundesliga 2006-2007

Bayern Munich weren’t able to get Van Nistelrooy. Hamburger didn’t want Kluivert, Werder Bremen were able to held on to Miroslav Klose, Herta BSC saw Marcelinho leave. Transfers in Germany.

Bayern Munich are the Germanese (?) Lyonnais. Powerful in their own country and the main candidate to win the national title. And with Makaay, Pizarro, Santa Cruz and Podolski Bayern have 4 excellent strikers.

I want Nurnberg (with Hans Meyer) to do well this season. In the second half of the last season they had a good run and I find Meyer one of the better trainers in the Bundesliga.

And what will Aachen, Bochum & Energie Cottbus produce this season?

Friday 11th August
Bayern Munich – Borussia Dortmund

Saturday 12th August
Borussia M’Gladbach – Energie Cottbus
Mainz – Bochum
Schalke – Eintracht
Bayer Leverkusen – Aachen
Stuttgart – Nurnberg
Hamburger – Arminia Bielefeld

Sunday 13th August
Hannover – Werder Bremen
Wolfsburg – Herta

I see at least 3 interesting clashes in the 1st German weekend.

I wonder how my Bayern will cope without Ballack. That should be interesting. I dont think Ruud would have suited the Bundesliga anyway!

In the beginning it seemed like he wasn't a big one, but during the World Cup he improved. Per Mertesacker is leaving Hannover for his new club Werder Bremen. He signs a 4-year contract and Bremen pay Hannover €5 million.

Friday 11th August
Bayern Munich 2-0 Borussia Dortmund

Saturday 12th August
Schalke 1-1 Frankfurt
Stuttgart 0-3 Nurnberg
Hamburger 1-1 Arminia Bielefeld
Borussia M'Gladbach 2-0 Energie Cottbus
Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 Aachen
Mainz 2-1 Bochum

Schalke, Stuttgart & Hamburger are making it easy on Bayer Munich already. Bayern played a fantastic first 30 minutes last night. Roy Makaay was in his best form and he showed everyone by scoring his 1st goal of 2006-2007!

Frei & Valdez seem like players who won't be very effective this season.

I told you all Nurnberg would do well.

Sunday 13th August
Hannover 2-4 Werder Bremen
Wolfsburg 0-0 Herta

Werder Bremen were the most productive team last season and it seems they're going to do it again. Klasnic, Klose, Zidan, Hugo Almeida.

Nurnberg are leading!

And preparing an attack on Bayern Munich to take the title!

Seriously, the German title is not realistic, but so far they look really strong for this season, seeing as Stuttgart & M'Gladbach aren't the weakest opponents. UEFA Cup could be possible.
