There is NO WAY that was a penalty. The Turks fully deserved to get a draw out of the game. Brasil should have only had a free kick, the player definitely deserved to be sent-off, as he already had a yellow-card, but Brasil should have only got a free kick. As for the second red card, it was a complete joke! The ball hit Rivaldo in the arm, so why the hell was he holding his face! It is Rivaldo who should have got the red card, not the Turkish player.

The goal the Turks scored was brilliant though. The ball was perfectly placed for a volleyed finish. Brasil's defence looks like it could be thier weakness in this tournament.

Turkey should qualify for the second round, the 2 other teams in the group, China and Costa Rica, shouldn't prove too much of a challenge for them.

I could not agree more. A penalty kick for THAT?!?! Hell no. Rivaldo was completely faking it. That ball wouldn't even of hurt ME! lol. I was so disappointed. It was just such a bad call.

Oh well, nothing one can do now. (Though if that would of happened to my team, I would now have the mission to chop that ref's head off. *evil*)

that was IMO the best game of the tournament so far.
Brazil were breathtaking at times, but Turkey were never overawed, and even matched Brazil in the skill department at times.
great to see the little magitian Juninho back to his best, he will always have a special place in the hearts of me and all other Middlesbrough fans, and i'm glad to see him back on form.
Rivaldo is a fuckin joke, he is one of, if not THE best player in the world, and that shit makes me sick. Brazil were 2-1 up, with a corner kick, in the 3rd minute of injury time, whilst Turkey were down to 10 men. the only thought going through that dick heads mind was to get the player sent off, and he went SERIOUSLY down in my estimations of him....in my eyes, the so called best player in the world doesnt need to cheat to be the best. Rivaldo should be punished immeadiately by FIFA, and i mean a serious punishment, not a pansy ass warning or a little fine.
and btw, there is no way it was penalty either, but it was a red card offense.

yeah, with that being said, even as a Brazillian u cannot defend what Rivaldo did.

Of course I was only joking, but I just wanted to point out how unfair I thought it was. *shakes head* The whole faking, plus, didn't the ref see it didn't hit him ANYWHERE near the face? Argh. What can you do.

Brazil were awesome! thank god for footballs sake they qualified! the Turks r a quality little team too they will be hard to beat, but Brazil were just as good as they were 8 years ago! i dont agree with Rivaldo's play acting but the turks did more than their fair share! he did milk it but the fact is the Turkish player booted the ball at him out of spite! it was unsportsman like so in my opinion he shud have gone off, even if the ball didnt hit Rivaldo at all! it was intent! teh penalty was outside the box but u gotta understand that justice was done really cos the guy was through on goal! i think it was a fair result cos Brazil just edged it...the Turks will qualify in 2nd tho and will be a team to watch
