1. In cricket the batter must watch the bowler for all different types of deliveries, as well as reading the swing and bounce of the ball.
2. A cricket shot is very rarely a full blooded attack shot (unless you're Australian ) but quite often defensive or a quick single.
3. A test match has 40 outs possible.
4. Cricket probably has more people playing it worldwide than baseball. India alone has nearly 1 billion people and is cricket mad.
Cricket rocks!!! Baseball's not bad either, but kinda boring.
| All great points among the hundreds there are but there is no point in posting them Jimmy aka idiot number1 won't get any of them.
Leads me to the question why was this thread started? Becasue it sure as hell wasn't to talk about Cricket or Shitball ,whoops I mean baseball.
Jimmy I don't care what you say, you seem way to concerned that people in the world don't like baseball and I see mo where in this threasd where you have 'proved me wrong'
I don't argue with people who don't have an open mind that is why I haven't given you any reason but look Chewie has.

| Hmmm well I can actually think of one down side to cricket and that is that Australia doesn't have much competition hehe.
Brett Lee bowling balls at nearly 100 miles an hour coming at your head after it bounces - heh good luck hitting that. |

| Chewie did you watch the Australian match yesterday, did that guy that Brett Lee hit break his arm or not, I think that Australia will easily win the world cup. |

| Well Nesbit when you take shots at America for our non-skill and patience sport bullshit, and take some attitude like you are so "great", expect me to rip you for it. We all know who has the best athletes in the world, as proven at every Summer Olympics by our numerous medal wins. And it sure isn't the UK.. And name a famous cricket player? I never even heard of one....... |

| I didn't get a chance to watch it but I saw the ball you're talking about - it looked damm painful. I think he ended up alright but they had to x-ray his arm in hospital.
Yeah we should win it pretty easily but with one-day cricket you never know, just takes an innings from someone like Tendulkar to win a game but Australia's looked pretty awesome so far. |

| Austalia Vs India in the final I reckon, should be a good game.
The did look painful the guy couldn't walk off by himself, even though Brett Lee annoys me I do have to say that he is bowling really well.
Kenya did give a tiny fright yesterday though. |

| That's what I'm thinking too for the final - should be great and I'll be up all night watching it.
Heh, the whole Australian team can be annoying at times because they are so arrogant but then again that confidence is what makes them so good and gives them the edge over other countries.
Yeah I read that in the review - that Kenya gave us a bit of a match. They are doing amazingly well, don't think anyone predicted them to be in the semis. Shouldn't be too much trouble for India though. |

| There is one Australian player in modern times (now retired) that I never thought was arrogent and that is Mark Waugh, he was a class player and let his cricket do the talking. |
