thanx everyone. The bar is simple......i just create a seleceted rectangle, filled it in with whatever colour, copied it. then pasted it as a new layer onto my blend, and changed the opacity of it.

I think I'll just start with Photoshop, then I should find it easy to use Paint shop pro.

no u wont....if u start with photoshop then you wont be able to cope with psp. Ask nadia! lol its completley different.
