Just try putting the text on the image and while the text is still selected, go to "rotate" or "flip" [usually appears under "image" or "edit" on the top menu] and you should be able to flip it so that it's sideways  |

in Paint Shop Pro, if you make the text vector based, you can rotate the text. run your cursor over the selected text box and two arrows, one facing up, one facing down, should appear in a certain spot. by clicking your mouse and holding it down, you can rotate the text by moving the cursor left or right.

In psp you can do it by "rotate" rotate it 90 degrees, left or right. | |

The first one is too dark.
The second and third one are good, but I think that you should have added an effect or two to it. That's just my opinion, though. | |
