Say wha? I've installed Photoshop 7 several times (off a cd) and never encountered that. All that i imagine should happen is that you unzip the file and execute the installation file(usually setup.exe). Then during the installation you enter the serial. That's it. Are you sure you downloaded Photoshop and not a dummy file? The real Photoshop i would imagine be well over 100 mb. The only other thing i can think of is an .iso file, but that doesn't sound like one. If you double click on the file then the file will self-extract if it is a self-extracting file to a folder or whatever you specify(you still have to run setup though). Otherwise, you can double click to pull up a menu with the contents of the zip. What zip program do you use anyway? like Winzip or Winrar? I know that .rar and .tar files commonly have passwords. However there isn't anything about encrypting after you enter the password. Sounds more like you either got a bad file or accidently foobared something.
