At that point most people would have thought: 'this game is over' ... but no, it wasn't over that easily.
Clijsters went on to win the set, but by a score of 6-2. She dropped her serve at 5-1 up and began to look shaky in the last few games of the set.
At that point of the match I started watching. Myskina was playing some realy good tennis and Clijsters seemed to have just lost her rhythm as she went 4-0 down in the second set. She then won her first service game out of four and called on the trainer to have her right ankle looked at. After a short break the match resumed and Clijsters appeared to be in a good fighting mood. She took the next two games to bring the score to 4-3, Myskina was the player who had lost her rhythm now.
The next two games went on serve. Clijsters was battling hard and it appeared as though the injury was giving her little problem. The next two games went to Clijsters and it looked as though she would have the match very soon. Myskina had almost fallen apart. Clijsters raced into a 40-15 lead for two match points, but then Myskina pulled 4 points out of the bag to take the second set into a tie-break!
The tie-break started well for Clijsters and she soon found herself with another two match points at 6-4 .. Myskina saved them both. Myskina then had to save another before finally she got the chance to take the second set away from Clijsters .. but it was not to be. Clijsters leveled the score at 8-8 and then went on to take the tie-break 10-8 and book herself a match against Schynder.
A great second set of tennis and a brilliant performance by Clijsters, but that injury just may be too much for her.
