the Knicks and Suns made a trade today

To the Knicks:
Stephon Marbury
Penny Hardaway
Cezary Trybanski

To the Suns:
Antonio McDyess
Howard Eisley
Charlie Ward,
Maciej Lampe
the rights to Milos Vujanic
2 first-round draft picks
Cash

Well this is a good trade for New York in the present, but they seriously screwed up the future of this club. The club will be capped up to atleast 2006 and will not have 2 draft picks. They will make the playoffs for sure the next few seasons but what was the point? They won't win the Championship. We all know the West will win the championship for the next few years. It don't matter which team wins the East cause they will be murdered by the west in the final. It's mind boggling why the Knicks refuse to rebuild the team and will always be in the face of mediocrecy.

I personally think this is a good trade for the Suns as they were not going anywhere this year as they are last in the West and can't contend with the western powerhouse teams. This will be the rebuilding process for the Suns and I don't think it will take long before the team will be up at the top of the western standings again. They freed up a tremendous amount of cap space, possibly they want to try and sign Kobe Bryant this offseason. They have 2 extra first round draft picks which will help the rebuilding process of the team.

At this point I guess its a win-win for both. Suns wanted to unload large contracts and rebuild for the future and the Knicks wanted to make the playoffs and try and win the east(big whoppie!!)
