Don't feel weird. I am a hurricane fan. When a hurricane strikes another place , i get disappointed. It is horrible that all of those people died especially in an area that you would think would have earthquake codes to stop a lot of the newer homes from collapsing. Maybe this will force Iran to make these codes and enforce them on the new construction.
