| Quote: Originally posted by Errick I follow what the Bible says, that is why I said I felt it was wrong. I've never gone up to a gay person and said, "Hey, what you're doing is wrong" because then, by definition, I'd be judging someone by what they do in their alone time other than what kind of a person they are judged by their personality. I've never performed a hate crime and I don't hate any one who is gay. Therefore, I haven't really judged any one. I just feel that it's not right for them to get married, as it is a traditional thing between a man and a woman to be joined in marriage. It's not so traditional if a man and a man do it, or a woman and another woman.
Heck, I'll probably know people later on in life whom are married, and are gay. I won't say a thing because it's not my right, it's not hurting me. But the thing about religion is you can't take certain pages and think there's truth to them while other pages you don't really believe in them. The Bible is about truth, the whole thing. Not just pages. It's all happened, which is why it was written. In the back of every Bible there's a page that says not to take from the book and not to add anything. I only heard one 'message' talking about homosexuality. I'm not that knowledgable about my faith, to tell the truth, but I know what I heard. And a pastor can not teach something that isn't truth, or else God (as I believe it) would strike him dead.
And if the Bible wasn't truth, God would have burned it. He doesn't need false things spoken or written about Him. Makes sense, right? | How do you know its truth and how do you know its not just some bogus story someone made up cause they were bored? How do you know a God DOES exist? Just because a book tells you so? Thats what doesnt make any sense. How can you believe in something thats questionable in existance? Its just like reading a tabloid. |
