Wrong. You could actually have top secret information against the government (such as you were a personal witness against a crime the government committed, and it is a very serious one, and they know this), so that would make it easier for them to find you. Also, you could have expert knowledge in certain fields in which they did not want you to have quite as much knowledge as you do (even though it wasn't a crime and you did NOTHING wrong) because they like to keep the people dumbed down and under control.

You are assuming that governments are honest. They are not

Anyhow, the only good governments, IMO, are very very very VERY small, and spread out governments in the form of familial tribes small enough so that everybody knows everybody else in their tribe. The reasoning is because the government actually does care about the people (in those cases) because they are relatives, if nothing else. Currently, world governments don't give a shit about their people.
